1929
The dark streets of Revilla were alive with the heavy boots of British regulars. Doors were kicked open, and the terrified cries of families echoed through the alleys as soldiers dragged suspected Secret Society members from their homes.
"Sir, please! We're innocent!" one man pleaded, only for the butt of a rifle to slam into his ribs, sending him to the ground with a painful gasp.
His wife's screams cut through the night as he was yanked to his feet and dragged into the shadows, his fate unknown.

The next morning, Cody stormed through the halls of the Main Headquarters, his heart pounding. Bursting into Ken Drick's office, he barely took a breath before slamming a newspaper onto the desk.
"James, we have a problem," he said, urgency thick in his voice.
Ken Drick frowned, taking the paper. His eyes scanned the bold headline:
"Treasonous Scheme Discovered - Perpetrators Swiftly Dispatched by Order of the Crown"
His grip on the paper tightened. "How were we discovered?" he muttered, disbelief shadowing his face. It should have been impossible.
Cody exhaled sharply. "We have a traitor among us. It's the only way they could have known. Someone is feeding them information, but they're careful, staying in the dark."
Ken Drick leaned back, his mind racing. The sheer number of Secret Society chapters meant finding the traitor wouldn't be easy. They could already be in danger.
"Alright," he said at last. "Meet me in Jacoba with Kyra. I need you to gather all the Secret Society chapters there."
Reaching into his desk, he pulled out a stack of sealed letters and handed them to Cody.
Cody nodded, gripping them tightly. As he turned to leave, he paused at the doorway. "See you on the flip side, old friend."
Ken Drick gave a firm nod, already focused on packing his suitcase. The fight wasn't over yet.
3 Hours Later
Road to Kagrapan
Cody rode through the countryside under the cover of darkness, his horse's hooves muffled by the damp earth. The last letter in his satchel needed to reach its destination before dawn.
The long journey and restless nights caught up with him, and his head bobbed slightly as he fought off exhaustion.
Then, the scream came.
"No, please stop! She's innocent!"
A blade flashed in the dim light, then pain.
Steel drove into his shoulder.
Cody gasped awake, jolting upright in the saddle. His breath was unsteady, his hands clammy as he clutched the reins tighter.
The nightmare felt too real. A memory? A warning? He forced the thoughts away. He had no time for doubt.
Ahead, the flickering lanterns of Kagrapan marked the city's outskirts. Nestled east of Revilla, it was smaller but strategically important. Cody slowed his horse as he approached the checkpoint at the city's entrance.
