It wasn't long before Chaeyoung's school Sports Day arrived.  Every year, Hanlim Multi Art School held a Sports Day event for its students, with many different categories for them to take part in and compete among their classes.  It was a big festival of sorts, with food stalls set up and upbeat music which played through speakers all around the school campus. The students' relatives were allowed to come and watch the competitions.

Chaeyoung asked Mina to come, and obviously Mina said yes.  The younger extended the invitation to Sana too, who of course cleared time to go to Chaeyoung's school.  Mina and Sana planned to have breakfast together before heading there together.

The two best friends caught up on each other's lives as they ate, mainly on Mina's relationship with Chaeyoung and ongoing project, and Sana's new promotion.  Mina noticed that Sana wasn't teasing her as much as usual today.

"Are you feeling tired, unnie?"  Mina asked.

"A little," Sana lied.  She hesitated before continuing.  "Listen, I have something really important to tell you... I don't think this is the right time but it really can't wait any longer.  I also don't want you to react badly."

Sana rarely sounded so serious, and anxiety naturally arose in Mina.

"Just tell me," Mina insisted.

Sana paused again, but spoke anyway," I'm almost certain that Changmin is cheating on you."

The words didn't register in Mina's head at first.  She stared at Sana blankly, who patiently gave Mina time to let the news sink in.  Mina didn't love Changmin, but why did it still hurt?

"How do you know?"  Mina asked calmly.

"The couple of times I've been over to your place, I smelled another woman's perfume on his suit.  Also, one of my colleagues recently quit my company to work for his. I had her check up on him. She said he often leaves work randomly, and she followed him a few times to a random apartment complex.  She even took some pictures of the girl living there... I can show y-"

"It's fine," Mina dismissed.  She felt strange. She felt like crying, but she knew it wasn't because of him.  It was because she'd felt this feeling before. This feeling of a man using her like an object and then leaving, even though she'd once been so loyal and perhaps loving.  It brought back the same emotions.

What's worse was that now there was another person involved.  What was Mina going to do about Chaeyoung? Chaeyoung was going to be the most affected party here, and Mina couldn't just tell her straight, ruining everything she'd ever known.  But Chaeyoung deserved honesty, and Mina needed to let her know at some point, and in the right way. But how? And what were they going to do afterwards? The thoughts were too much, and Mina felt her spirits compressing with every passing thought.

"Mina," Sana's soothing voice brought Mina back to reality.  "You have Chaeyoung, remember? Things might get messy from here but even I know she loves you more than anything."

Mina instantly felt better at the mention of Chaeyoung's name, even though she felt burdened just moments ago.  She smiled.
