"Are you two done?" A voice asks
The two of you turn your heads and see eyeless jack at the archway.
You blush and sheepishly look away as Toby sighs standing up straight.
"You always have to ruin the moment Jack"
"Its not my fault you are up at the same time as me" Jack walks into the kitchen and gets a cup of water
Toby sighs and stands up.
"Y'know I thought that when I let you and you're girlfriend have some 'alone time' I figured that you'd do the same for me"
"You mean when I had a girlfriend"
"Seriously, you ditched her already?"
"Yeah so?" Jack shrugs
"You're the literal and metaphorical definition of Heartbreaker"
"Not my fault I got bored" Jack says in his defense
"Whatever" Toby shakes his head "come on Y/n, I'll walk you back to your room"
You stand up and follow Toby practically silent as you could possibly be.
"Does he really even care about the people he dates?" You ask
"Well from what I know he used to date this one person "really special" he would describe them as"
"Well what happened?"
"I'm not sure but he did tell me things got really complicated"
"Hm maybe they broke up with him?"
"That might be the case" Toby stops at your door "Well here we are"
"You don't have to go do you?" you mumble
"What do you mean?"
"I've slept and laid in bed for so long here, I'm not tired"
He smiles softly and brushes some of the hair out of your face.
"I'll make an exception for you"
You giggle as you walk into the room with Toby trailing behind.
"Tomorrow I'll take you to the store and we can decorate your room"
"Oh no you don't have to I like it the way it is!"
There's a silence in the air and Toby raises an eyebrow
"This rooms is a literal blank slate Y/n"
"I just-"
"Don't want me 'wasting' my money?" He air quotes
"...may...be?"
"Trust me if you want to live here your room is going to be a safe haven from the others so I'm going to treat you"
You sheepishly look down at the floor.
"I don't know what to say" you push some of your hair behind your ear
"Then don't say anything" Toby chuckles
"I have to at least say thank you!" You protest
"I won't accept it" he crosses his arms "just think of it as a date"
"A w-what?" You studder
"I mean it doesn't have to be I just thought I should ask now rather than later and well-"
"Yes"
"What?"
"I'd love to go out with you"
"Whoa I uh" he shys "that's was uh"
"Easier than you thought?"
"What no! I mean well wait not like that!" He panics
" Toby its okay I'm just teasing you" you laugh
"Teasing huh?" He mumbles "fine then"
You're gently pushed against the wall with your wrists pinned above your head. You gasp at how suddenly it happened. Toby leans in closely almost offering a tempting kiss. Your legs tremple and find it hard to stand. However he leans away smirking.
"Two can play at that game" he deeply speaks letting you go.
You lean your back against the wall and slide down wide eyes. Your thoughts dashes left and right. You hide your face in your hands and blush furiously. Toby chuckles and helps you up holding you close as you die from embarrassment.
"Come on I think you want to rest after that"
You nod without showing your face.
