With the blare of several airhorns, the match between Team BRNZ and Team JNPR commences. The crowd erupts in cheers as the two teams clash against each other from the get-go.
Ruby: Woo! Go Jaune!
Y/N: C'mon, Juniper! You all got this!
You watch as Pyrrha and Brawnz Ni from Team BRNZ fight in the middle of the arena, both fighters sizing each other up with kicks and blocks. Nora and Ren turn to double-team on Nolan Porfirio, while Jaune goes to fight Roy Stallion.
However, as Nora swings her hammer but misses, a gunshot as sharp and as loud as a sniper flies towards Ren. He manages to avoid those shots, but it destroys the rocks behind Ren. Jaune soon notices this, pin-pointing that the last fighter from Team BRNZ was hiding in the trees, shooting them from afar.
Soon, Jaune makes a call for his team to fall back to the mountains. Jaune and Pyrrha wield their shields to block the shots from May Zedong, while Nora and Ren hop over some rocks and ducks under them as cover.
Y/N: Interesting... Jaune's team is allowing Team BRNZ to take control of the arena.
Yang: Well, they kind of have to, considering that sniper girl's shooting out and about.
Ruby: One shot from that sniper rifle, and that'd put a dent to your aura, that's for sure.
Looking back to the fight, Team BRNZ charges forward to pile the pressure on Jaune's team. The two teams clash once again, but you notice that despite JNPR's lack of map control, they were dictating the pace of the match with their movements, spreading out wide to fight individual battles.
However, you watch as Ren starts to fall on the backfoot, as he gets teamed up by Nolan and May's attacks. Eventually, he falls to the ground after being shocked by Nolan's cattle prod. This angers Nora, as she moves in to cover for her partner.
With a few swift dodges, Nolan jabs Nora with his cattle prod, shooting an electric current into the ginger. However, he wasn't expecting to see a smile appear on Nora's face, as she stood firm from the electric current coursing through her body.
Y/N: Ooh... someone didn't do their homework!
Yang: Oh yeah! The Thunder Goddess is ready to strike!
From the intercom, Port and Oobleck speaks.
Port: Oh-ho! Looks like one of my favorite students, Nora Valkyrie, is charging up to use her Semblance!
Oobleck: Yes, Ms. Valkyrie's Semblance lets her produce, as well as channel, electrical energy straight to her muscles! This allows her to jump explosively into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and send the young man flying!
Panicked by this revelation, he takes his prod away, but the damage has already been done. Nora flexes her arms, pink lightning coursing through her body. Nolan raises his hands up in surrender, but Nora dashes straight at him and slams her hammer straight to his torso, sending the boy across the arena and into a pile of rocks.
With an "Ooh" erupting from the crowd, you look up to find that Nolan's aura has gone from completely full... to barely hanging on above the limit. It was almost satisfying to watch the graph slowly dwindle to a bright, alarming red.
