Y/N: Oh... I'm back here...
As you regain consciousness, you see yourself standing on a beach. The waves of the ocean rocks back and forth, with a wave enveloping your feet and back. Taking in a deep breath of the fresh atmosphere, you suddenly felt a presence standing behind you.
Y/N: (Sigh) So, why'd you decide to call me, Ms. Selene?
Turning around, you see Selene doing an A-Pose, as she takes in the fresh air of the beach. Opening her eyes, she sees you standing before her.
Selene: Hello, Phoenix.
Y/N: Hey, why did you call me here?
Selene pauses for a moment before continuing.
Selene: I've called you here for an urgent reason.
Y/N: Urgent?
Selene: It's... a very important matter. I found something that concerns a person named Jacob Elvins.
You opened your eyes out of shock.
Y/N: Jacob!?
Selene: Yes. Your enemy.
Y/N: W-What did you find?
Selene: It appears to be a memory fragment of his past. I was trying to find out more about this boy, trying to find out who he is or what his purpose was. And... I think I found it.
Y/N: T-That's great news!
Selene: Indeed. However, the amount of energy it took me to unlock this memory to you... I'm afraid to say that it was too much for me. As a result, I might fall into a coma, unable to do anything for a period of time.
Y/N: Oh...
You looked down and sad at the news.
Y/N: Well, you didn't need to push yourself if that would happen, Ms. Selene.
Selene lets out a giggle and puts a hand to your cheek.
Selene: Relax, Phoenix. After all, my existence isn't as important. I only live in your mind to help you, so don't think much of me.
Y/N: But you're still a friend! I can't let my friends push themselves too much only to help me! It's not like you're oath-bonded to me or anything.
Selene: Well, if you put it that way, I'm kind of oath-bonded to you.
Y/N: Huh?
You looked at Selene confused.
Selene: If you die, then I also die. When She cursed me, I purposely made my way into your soul, your mind. I don't want to know what will happen to me if you die.
Y/N: B-But...
Selene: Enough, we've gone too far off-topic. I'm supposed to show you this memory fragment and rest until I'm ready to show you another memory, whether yours or anyone else's.
Y/N: Wait.
Selene: Hmm?
Y/N: I want to ask, how did you manage to find a memory of Jacob? No, how are you even able to see memories of others when you're not in their mind?
