Hey ya'll, Carter here. I'm sure that you all know about how I said the last chapter will be the Finale. Well... It was all a trick. This will be the 1st half of the final chapter of Volume 3, the next half being the last chapter of this book.

Silence...
It was all so quiet...
Time has stopped, the world has stopped...
Devoid of all emotion...
Hugging the girl in your hands, blood flowing everywhere on your body, the arrow poking out of her stomach...
And so you ask yourself:
"What was it all for?"

The sudden gasps of Grace bring you back to reality, as she slowly looks down to see the arrow inside her stomach.
Grace: A-Ah-Ah...
Y/N: GRACE!
She then slumps down from her standing position, to which you get to see who shot the arrow. And, it was none other than the Fall Maiden, now with bruises and wounds on her face.
Cinder: That's... (Pants) what she gets...
Wounds and bruises from the ice ball and beam scatter all over her body. She then points her finger at you, but you weren't paying much attention. Instead, you were more focused on Grace.
Kneeling down, your eyes widen at how thorough the arrow was. Its arrowhead was sticking out of the body, covered in red from Grace's blood.
Y/N: No...
Grace: A-Ah...
Grace's eyes turn pale, her body now frozen in shock. However, she was still holding on to whatever life is left.
Y/N: No...
Grace then coughs out a whole lot of blood, staining the roof of the tower. To this, Cinder laughs darkly.
Cinder: Stings, hmm? First your parents and now your partner. How...unfortunate.
Grace: A-Ah...
Y/N: ...
Your eyes turn back to its pale version. You were already broken by the death of your parents, and you were shattering by the minute as Grace's life hangs in the balance.
Y/N: ...
Cinder laughs, her laugh reverberating in your ears.
Cinder: Such a gentle child you are. A fine warrior, and yet so fragile...
No reaction, you were lifeless. All emotion from you had been sucked out, now its all empty inside. No joy, no smile, yet no anger.
