You Can Hug Me All You Want

I smiled at Bucky's compliment. For being brain-washed and turned into a killing machine, he knew his way around with girls.

"Um...Thank you." I replied.

"So, what now?" He asked, slowly.

"I'm assuming you have never seen 'The
Phantom of The Opera?'" I said.

"I don't even know what it is." He said. I gasped.

"Oh god, that's it. Come with me." I said and began walking out of the room. He followed.

"Where are we going?" He asked.

"To my room." I said, "We are going to watch a movie." I said brightly. I looked over at him and that's when I realized how tall he was. I am 5'8', but he's at least 6 ft. I'm assuming the serum they gave him enhanced his height just as much as his strength. Never the less, any woman could tell he was attractive.

We walked into my apartment and I put the movie into the DVD player. As the opening credits came on, I squealed in delight. He looked at me strangely, but then gave a blank look at the TV screen. After a few minutes, the main 'Phantom of the Opera' overture played. We both jumped a little, but I noticed that he seemed to be enjoying it as much as I did. During the movie, I got up and grabbed some cheese balls from my cabinet and split it with him. By the end of the movie, the two of us had almost devoured the entire bucket.

"What did you think?" I asked. He shrugged.

"I didn't know that music could do that." He said.

"Do what?" I asked.

"Make me forget for a moment what I-" he sighed, "Who I am." He said. I gave him a sad look and thought about grabbing his hand. I hesitated, but then I grabbed his metal hand. He tensed, but then looked at me. I didn't know what to say. I just looked down at our hands and then let go. I walked towards the TV and took the movie out of the DVD player.

I gave him a couple of movie soundtracks for him to listen to. Star Wars, E.T, Jaws, Harry Potter, etc. I gave him a few books, like The Fault in Our Stars and The Outsiders to name a few. He looked at the CD's, nodded his head, and walked away. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hello, sunshine." Alexa said. "I'm almost at Stark Tower. These cabs are fancy." She said. I smiled.

"Sweet. I will meet you at the front doors." I said.

"Ok, see ya soon." She said.

"Bye." I replied. I walked towards the front entrance and waited in the lobby. I stared at the doors and kept looking down at my phone. After playing a couple levels of Candy Crush, I heard a little girly squeal. I looked at the door once again and saw Alexa walk through.

"Hey!" I said. She looked at me and smiled. Alexa walked over to me and we hugged each other.

"God, it feels like forever since we last saw each other." She said. Alexa wore jeans and a red top. Her hair was down and she had a bow in her hair.

"That's because we haven't seen each other since graduation." I said.

"That long? Man." She said as she put her bags down. "Well, I'm here now and when do I get to meet bachelor number 1?" She asked.

"Well, fortunately for you, I get to personally introduce you to each one of the Avengers."

"Sweet! Dude, I couldn't even sleep last night I was so excited." She explained. We took the elevators up the stairs and went to my room. After we dropped her bags off, I took her across the hall to Steve and Bucky's apartment.

"Ready to meet Captain America?" I asked as I knocked on the door. She did a little happy dance as we waited. After a few minutes, no one answered.

"Hmmm, maybe they are in the gym?" I said.

"Captain America in gym clothes!! Thank you Jesus!!!" She said and did her happy dance again. I laughed and joined in with her. We were so into the dancing, that we never saw Steve and Bucky walk up the hall.

"We are the champions, my friend!!" We sang, "Dowr Dowr!" (Guitar noises) We continued and made air guitars.

"And we'll keep on dancing, till the end!" Alexa sang.

"We're meeting the Avengers." I sang. She joined in.

"WE'RE MEETING THE AVENGERS!!" We sang.

"And no time for waiting, cause we're meeting the Avengers!" I sang. We both laughed at our parody of the song. I heard someone cough and turned to see Steve and Bucky. We stopped laughing instantly and stared at them. Alexa started laughing again and I joined in. The 2 men stared at us in confusion.

"I'm sorry. This is Alexa, my friend who's staying with me for a few weeks." I explained. She smiled at Bucky and strolled over to Steve.

"Hello." She said. He blushed and shook her hand. She smiled innocently.

"Ma'm, it's-it's very nice to meet you." He said.

"Nice to meet you, too." She replied. Bucky and I watched the entire show with wide eyes. We looked at each other and then back at them.

"Well, uh, we have to get going now." I said.

"Yeah, I plan on hugging Tony Stark to see how he reacts." Alexa said.

"You can hug me all you want." Steve said. My jaw dropped and so did Alexa's, "I-I mean, um, wait, oh would you look at the time. Bye, now." He said and rushed into his room. And that, my friends, is how Alexa met Steve Rogers.
