Can I marry you?

I'm feeling patriotic

"Look at this!" Alexa said. She had pulled out a red dress. I gasped.

"What if I got a pair of gloves, a little hat thingy, and did kick-ass make up?" I asked.

"That's brilliant." Alexa said. I did a little jump and ran to the dressing room. Thank god the dress was in my size. I slipped it on and walked out of the dressing room to show Alexa.

"Alexa?" I asked. I couldn't find her.

"What do you think?" Alexa asked. I gasped. She had on a 40's military outfit that the women had worn. My jaw dropped. "I'm feeling patriotic."

"Well, I know what we're wearing to the party." I said. She smiled and walked back into her dressing room.

The night had come. I put on bright red lipstick, eyeshadow, and put in contacts. The dress actually had white polka dots on it and I had put in a red bow on the side of my head. I painted my nails and let my curly hair fall down past my chest. I finished the look with a pair of heels. Alexa let her hair down, curled it, and wore her military outfit. She only wore mascara and eyeliner.

"Let's roll." She said. I closed my apartment door behind me and we began to walk to Starks level. After using the elevator, and tripping over my feet when I thought I saw Orlando Bloom, we finally reached the party.

"Holy shit!!"

"Christ on a cracker!" I exclaimed. Everyone was dressed up...EVERYONE. Even Fury wore a 40's styled suit. Natasha was a flamingo dancer, Clint wore a 40's banker outfit, and Bucky. Oh, wow!! His hair was cut short and he wore a military outfit. Steve was matching him too, since they were guests of honor. I saw Tony arguing with them and saying stuff about 'No matching!', but they blew it off. Thor wore a nice suit with an ugly tie. It was cute though.

"Ok, here's the plan." I said to Alexa, "You're going to walk over there to Steve. He's at the bar so he's probably drinking, though he can't get drunk, casually walk up and order two drinks." I said. "He should notice you. If he simply stares at you, that means he's taking you all in. Which is good!! If he says something, you reply casually and walk away. He should follow you after a few minutes and then just stay casual from there." I said. She nodded her head and blushed.

"Fine. But, you need to talk to Bucky." She said.

"Why? I mean, he's not interested in me." I say.

"Are you really this clueless. He stares at you like how you stare at cake." She said. "And I've seen you lick the fork and the plate." I smiled and looked at him. He looked a little uncomfortable to be surrounded by so many people, but I didn't blame him. Alexa smiled, gave me a quick salute, and began walking towards the bar.

I shook my hands and began looking around for someone else I knew.
