when the members saw the article trending everywhere, they were shocked, they saw the pictures, they saw how he reacted the night before. it was all there, but they couldn't find it in them to approach the situation face on.

they weren't against it, no, that wasn't it at all. they were really honestly just shocked at the news. taehyung was the first to approach jaehyun, knocking on the door softly. it was awkward when he sat next to him on the bed, as it always is when they are alone.

taehyung swallowed harshly, "we, um, we aren't mad about it or anything. we were just shocked you know?"

jaehyun looked over at taehyung, who was already looking at him, "you aren't?" his voice was hoarse from all the crying from the night before. taehyung shook his head, looking away, "of course not, are you crazy? why didn't you just tell us."

"because i was scared, i thought that much was obvious." he mumbled, playing with the ring on his finger. they sat in silence for a bit before taehyung spoke up.

"so...mark lee? can you tell me about him."

"s-shouldn't the other members be here when i do? i think you should all know..."

taehyung frowned but nodded nonetheless, "should i get them?" he asked standing up, jaehyun nodded and looked back to his hands.

soon all the members sat in his room once again, all ready for their youngest member to share what he's been hiding. he took a shaky breath before speaking, his voice low but loud enough to hear it.

"um, we met about two years ago at an award show, he helped me fix my tie and find you guys that day. he was super nice and stuff you know? so we just exchanged numbers and texted eachother every now and then. after about i think six months of texting we met up during our free time and it was really late, and we kinda...you know....stop looking at me like that!" he yelled, covering his face with his hands.

"take your time, don't be shy about it either."

jaehyun waited a minute or two before starting again, "we kissed. then a month later bam we're dating. we've been dating for....a year." he said hesitantly, afraid of his members reactions.

"a...year? wow..." namjoon breathed out, running his hand through his hair, motioning to continued.

"well there's nothing more to it, we've kinda been sneaking out after the release of the album since he had a lot free time after that and so did i. b-but yesterday when we kissed, i should've looked around first...i should've, i-i saw someone run away after we pulled away and i knew it was going to happen. i don't want this to ruin what BTS has built." he pulled at his hair, but his hands were pulled away by jimin.

"hey, it's okay, but, you have to meet bang Pd today.." jaehyun expected it, he's gotten into a scandal and that wasn't good. he was scared he would have to break up with the male he grew so much love for. jungkook seemed to have noticed this as he grabbed jaehyun's hand.

"don't worry, i'm sure he's not going to make you break up with him."

jaehyun nodded and waited until all his members filed out, calling out to taehyung. "can you...can you come with me? i mean you don't have to but-"

"no! i'll come!" to say taehyung was surprised was an understatement, he was happy nonetheless.

jaehyun let out a breath, smiling as he followed taehyung out to the car. the two males were soon seated in front of band pd, who held a tablet, the article on it, he slid it towards jaehyun who didn't really want to see it. "i'm sure you've seen this already correct?"

he nodded, "yes sir."

"SM has in fact came into contact with me, and we've talked, we decided it would be best if you decided to confirm or deny the rumor. obviously there is enough evidence for this to be true, so if you decide to deny it, it would be unbelievable most likely. the other party of this situation has decided to confirm it, if you also decide this then both companies will put out a statement confirming it."

"so would you like to confirm or deny."

jaehyun sat still for a moment, this has all become more real and it hit hard. if he confirms it everyone will know he's gay, people will make fun of him and some will probably think of him as joke. but mark meant everything to him and he wanted to be able to go out freely and hold hands, he wanted to be able to take him on a date without being scared of getting caught.

there were many pros, but there was almost just as many cons.

"jaehyun."

his head snapped up, and he realized he's been thinking for too long. "right," he looked at taehyung who gave a thumbs up, "yeah, i'll confirm it."

the male behind the desk nodded, "i will inform them of your answer, i'm sure the other party will be happy with your answer."

"yeah..."
