- NAMJOONS WORRIES

to say kim namjoon was worried about his younger member would be an understatement. if he found a word that meant more worried than worried, than that would be the word he would use.

jaehyun had been staying out later than usual ever since the release of his album, it made him realize, 'how long has jaehyun really been doing this', staying out late he means.

after thinking about it more, namjoon realized this had been happening even before his album release. he wished he was a little less oblivious to the way jaehyun would look extra tired every morning for practice, or when the shower would run at four in the morning.

it was little things, yet he failed to notice.

namjoon looked up from the floor when he heard the front door open, a tired jaehyun walking through–shutting the door softly. he froze when he saw his leader sitting on the couch, "joonie..what are you doing up? it's late." he said, worry taking over his tired features.

namjoon shook his head, "i could ask you the same thing." he whispered, "are you okay?"

jaehyun hummed, "i'm fine, i was just working on some choreography.."

the leader decided to just get straight to the point, "i don't want you out this late anymore jae."

he showed the time on his phone, 4:45 AM.

"you're not getting enough sleep, are you even eating properly? what about–" the leader was cut off by jaehyun, "joon, i'm fine, seriously."

the maknae went to sit by the older, playing with his fingers as he spoke again, "i just hate having to make you guys redo the dance every time i mess up you know? you guys need rest too.." he was talking about the times they had to redo the whole dance until they all got it right, practicing hours on end, mainly because of jaehyun and his forgetfulness.

he didn't hesitate telling namjoon more, he trusted his leader–his brother, wholeheartedly. "i don't know, i feel as if i'm holding you guys back, ugh, this is so hard to explain."

"i know what you're talking about." namjoon let his hand give jaehyun's knee a reassuring squeeze, "but that's what we're here for, if you need extra help, let us know okay? we have no problem talking out some more time to help you. we're a team, that's we do okay?"

"okay."

"good, now go take a shower, you stink." he teased, pushing jaehyun away. the maknae only  jumped on top of namjoon, hugging him, in retaliation, "never."

jaehyun bounced on his heels out of nervousness, looking at his members who sat on the floors through the mirrors.

he looked at hoseok, who was slouched over, then to jimin who was drinking water. he tried to spot out someone who looked the least tired, but they all looked equally exhausted.

taking a breath he walked towards hoseok timidly, he didn't want to bother anyone during their break but he took namjoons words to heart the night before. "hoseok," at hearing the soft voice call his name, he looked up with a small smile, "if you don't mind, can you help..me?"

jaehyun made eye contact with namjoon, who nodded and gave a thumbs up. hoseok jumped to his feet, "of course, with what part?"

the two walked towards the mirror, hoseok helping jaehyun by moving his arms in different directions, the other members even pitching in some helpful words and small demonstrations here and there.

when their small break was over, they got back to dancing, jaehyun made a couple mistakes, but the members didn't get angry nor ignore them. they guided him throughout the rest of practice, until he got them down, and eventually he did.

jaehyun didn't know what he was really scared of, the members didn't get mad at him like he expected, they just helped. they all understood the struggles of learning many dances and getting them right, they all had to learn at some point, they all messed up at some point, he just didn't see that.

jaehyun couldn't ask for a better family.
