The doctor came in and basically told me I was lucky to be alive, well that's how he saw it but okay
"You'll be able to leave tomorrow just so we can observe you overnight"
I simply shook my head in agreement to what he said,the night creeped in through the old,cracked window over my bed I got up in pain and tried to close the blinds but my legs gave out I fell to the ground the IV ripped out my arm I was gushing blood I just watched it, immediately the doctor and nurses ran to my aid bandaging my arm to stop the bleeding they carried me back to bed and told me to stay in bed I listened.
A couple hours flew by it was sunrise my legs felt numb I couldn't move them I just stood there the doctor came in and checked me
"Good morning doc I uh can't feel my legs"
She lifted the blanket off my leg and it looked perfectly fine
"It's probably from the fall, take it easy next time ask for assistance"
Dr.Grenthrow came in to say goodbye then she left her phone number with me, I then got dressed and was wheeled out by the nurse to the front desk where my father was looking worried but deep down he didn't care, I signed my paperwork and left with him in his old,red 1870 truck which he loved dearly more, probably more than me. I sat in the front he got in started the ignition,
"Should have died today would have been better for the both of us, I'd be better of."
I somehow ignore him and looked outside at the beautiful crystal, blue, turquoise water the beautifully tall palm trees that were swaying in the wind today it looked like a painting suddenly a downpour of rain fell simultaneously he turned on the radio
"Good evening my dear listeners it appears that we're going to experience a little thunderstorm by nightfall so stay inside"
"Great, when we get home clean the house I'm going out"
"Ok"
No sooner than we arrived
"Get the hell out my car I'm leaving"
"But I need help, I-it's raining"
"D-d-did I stutter help yourself"
I got out and slowly walk towards the front door he sped off and left but I got inside soaking wet, I immediately try to head to my room and lay down, when I got there I fell asleep however I got up after an hour and pulled myself together I went downstairs and clean up luckily it wasn't that much to do thank god
I made a cheese and turkey sandwich with a glass of lemonade, After eating I decided to call Dr.Grenthrow
"Uh hi Dr.Grenthrow this is Catrina you patient from earlier thanks for listening"
"It was no problem Catrina we can meet to talk if you'd like any time I'm free I do mean what I said earlier"
"We can meet if it's not a issue, can I trust you ?"
"You can, I'll be that safe haven you can talk to me don't forget take it light with work ok see you shortly"
"I will thanks, can you pick me up in 321 Make-berry lane"
"Sure no problem I'll be there shortly bye"
