hey guys! so this is another short chapter...sorry :/ its only bc the story is only over. only 1 chapter left and then an epilogue which ill post all on the same day. so by Thursday this story should be finished. then i'll really start working on the story i've been working on. so there will be a lil wait until the new story will be done!

Chapter 13

“Are you sure you’ll be ok?” Jake asked, for the millionth time.

Today, I’ve decided to go back to school. I have been out of school for a few weeks.Thankfully, I wont be to far behind, all my teachers counted all my assignments excused. “Yes, Jake, I’ll be fine, It’s just school. I’ll see you at lunch and gym ok?”

He sighed in defeat. “Ok, but if you feel like this is to much, just call me and I’ll leave class.”

“Thanks, I appreciate that. I don’t think I’ll have to take that offer though.”

He walked me to my first class, he gave me a kiss and left. After the incident with my dad, I finally agreed to be his girlfriend. That was probably the smartest choice I’ve ever made. He makes me happy, and I’m happy to say, I love him.

My dad was caught a week after the incident. The judge had found out I was living by myself, I can’t do that since I’m still a minor, I don’t turn 18 until next year. I decided to just get emancipated, the judge accepted it, she saw how I pretty have taken care of myself for the past three years, and I did just fine. So now, I’m technically an adult.

Nicole is no longer a problem; in fact she has a new boyfriend now. You see them kissing in the halls all the time. His name is Drake, he plays on the football team. Perfect guy for her.

Lunch came rather quickly, thank god. I quickly ran into the lunchroom and sat down beside Jake, who placed a kiss on my lips, I gratefully kiss him back. Kissing Jake has become my new favorite thing.

We were all sitting and chatting happily, when I heard someone behind me.  “Abby, can I talk to you for a minute?” I turned around and saw Nicole standing there. She didn’t look mad or anything. She actually looked kind of guilty, so I agreed to go with her. She guided me outside of the cafeteria. She took a deep breath before she started to talk. “I’m really sorry about what I said to you about your mom.”

I looked at her, stunned. I did not expect her to apologize at all.  I guess she should have apologized, what she did say was so mean. I was never going to make her, as a matter of fact, I wasn’t even mad at her anymore. I gave her a small smile. “It’s ok.”

She shook her head. “No, it’s not ok . What I said to you; it was cruel and immature of me. I guess I was just jealous that you were with Jake. But that’s still no excuse.”

“Its ok, your emotions were out of control. Believe me, I know how that is.”

She smiled. “I was actually hoping we could be friends.”

“I would like that.”

She ginned.

We ended up exchanging numbers and walked back to out tables. 

When I got back to the table, Jake looked at me worriedly. “What did she want?”

I smiled at him and sat down beside him. “She just apologized.” A look of shock went on everyone’s faces. 

“What did you say?” Liz asked.

“I forgave her.” I said, as if it was obvious.

“You didn’t have to do that you know.” Jake said.

I rolled my eyes. “I wanted to, Jake. Life's to short to hold grudges." 

Everyone looked at me in disbelief, but I just ignored it. Nicole decided to be the bigger person and apologize to me. I respect her for that. If I wouldn’t have accepted her apology, that would of made me the bitch, I don’t want that.

School passed rather quickly. Jake wanted to drive me home so I let him. He walked me up to the door. “So uh, do you want to go on a date tonight?” he asked.

I giggled. “Jake, why do you even bother asking anymore, I always say yes.”

He smiled and grabbed me by my waist, pulling me closer to him. “Would you like me to start saying, you’re coming on a date with me, whether you like it or not.”

I pretended to think for a second. “Hmm.”

He rolled his eyes and kissed me. I grinned through the kiss and kissed him back, running my hands through his soft hair.

He finally broke the kiss and rested his forehead on mine. “I love you.” he whispered.

I smiled and gave him a quick peck. “I love you too.” I was beyond Happy.

Jake is an amazing boyfriend. He’s there for me when I’m down or having a bad day, he’s even there if I’m in a bitchy mood and taking it out on him. I can honestly say, I’m in love with him and I’m happy as hell.

What’s going to happen in the future? I don’t really know, hopefully we’ll still be together in the future.
