 Epilogue 

 I have been married to Jake for five years now. And in all honesty, it has been the best 5 years of my life. We have a two year old girl, named Skylar Ann Mare. She is the cutest little girl ever. She’s talking a lot now. She’s most definitely a daddy’s girl, she has Jake wrapped around her finger. I feel bad for any of the future boyfriends she’ll have. Poor boys will be terrified of Jake.

 All the bad things that have happened to me, seem like a faded memory. I guess it should be a faded memory, it has been 7 years. My dad’s facing 15 years in prison for kidnapping, child neglect and child abuse. I never have and don’t plan on ever visiting him. When the time comes and Skylar wants to know why she only has one grandparent, I will tell her the truth. And if she wants to see him, I’ll let her. She does have a right to see her grandfather, if she wishes to.

Life now is so much better, then compared to how it use to be for me. I work my ass off to have the best life for Skylar. I just recently graduated college; I am now a registered nurse. I just recently got a job. I’m an emergency room nurse, which I love, everyday’s a new day. Jake is now a mechanic, he graduated from college 3 years ago. He owns his own shop just down the street.

I don’t see Liz as much as I use to anymore, she is working on becoming an actress. I talk to her every once in awhile, I guess she’s doing good, she just got a lead role in a movie, which will be in theaters sometime next year. She’s still with Max, but no kids yet. they did get married last year. Max is studying to be a doctor, he still has a long way to go, he just started going to college.

The only person who I really talk to from high school is surprisingly, Nicole. We actually work together, she’s also a nurse. We went to the same college together. We've been friends since the day she apologized to me. She and Drake are still together. He’s currently playing for the NFL. They got married a year ago. They have a little boy he’s three, his names David. She always brings David over. David and Skylar always play with each other, it’s so cute to watch.

Nicole and I always try to have some girl time. We usually go out for lunch and leave the guys at my house, so they can watch the kids. Are husbands are pretty close. Drake always comes over and him and Jake watches either basketball or hockey.

Life is awesome; I don’t want to say at the moment, because I hope it’s always like this. At first I did have somewhat of a hard life. I say somewhat because, I know there are people who have it worse than me. My hearts goes out to those people. But it does get better, may not right away, but it does.
