Dear Journal,
I am currently on the porch swing as I write this, and Bartholomew's in his pond. I decided that I should take him out today, since he hasn't been outside in a while.
It was actually easier to get him outside than I thought. He didn't try to hop away from me this time.
Perhaps, that's because he finally calmed down from my friends' visit. I'm still not sure why he just avoided them, though.
Anyway, I have been thinking about doing something with the backyard, seeing how big it is, I wonder if I can make an actual pond back there.
If I do, I'll probably just fill the one in front of the house up, since there would be no reason to keep it.
The hose is long enough to reach back there, so I could do it. But, it's going to take a while to dig a hole big enough to fill.
Also, if I decide to do that, I'll need Dr. Abell to get me more lily pads. I know for sure that Bartholomew would like more if he was in a bigger pond.
The weather seems especially nice today. So, I suppose that I could start doing it now. I don't need to dig it all up in one day.
I'm going to do that now.
