Y/n pov:
Ruel and I hadn't spoke since our fight on Christmas and things were starting to get bad. I locked myself in my room that night and I haven't come out since. New Years day came around fast and I had almost forgotten about the party Gemma was having tonight. Half way through watching 16 Candles, Bodhi walked in my door.
Bodhi: you know, you can't push him away like this
y/n: why not?
Bodhi: he needs you. A lot.
y/n: I'm sure he does
Bodhi: yeah well he's spent the past week on my couch crying because he knows he fucked up. Now you could be the bigger person, come to this party and fix things. Or stay in bed and throw away the one person who loves you more then himself.
I didn't know what to do. If I did I wouldn't be curled up in bed on my 2nd tub of ice-cream for the day.
Bodhi: come on. I will pick your clothes and everything for you
y/n: I don't wanna go Bods
Bodhi: you have to fix things with him
y/n: I know
Bodhi: then come to the party!
y/n: fine. But don't say I didn't warn you when you have to carry my drunk ass home
Bodhi: I'm not carrying you, Ruel is
I got out of bed and changed into a simple little outfit. I walked Bodhi out the door to his car before going back inside to sit with Keiran. He swung open the fridge and handed me a drink.
Keiran: your gonna need a few of these to get through the night
y/n: I probably won't drink tonight . You know what happens at these parties
Keiran: very true. Cheers
y/n: cheers
After we had finished a drink each he grabbed the keys and we walked to the car. Gemma has an older sister Brooke, who had invited all her friends to the party as well. So Keiran was gonna be there the whole night drinking. Great.
Keiran: alright, don't do anything stupid
y/n: I won't
Keiran: I think I saw Ruel down by the water, go talk to him
I gave him a hug and started to walk down to the fire. I talked with Bodhi and the boys for about an hour before Bodhi nudged me in the side
Bodhi: he's down there. Go talk to him
y/n: thank you Bodhi
I slowly walked down to the edge of the water admiring the sun setting on the coast. As I got closer to the water I could see Ruel, who's hair was a mess from being blown around in the wind. I stopped still as he turned around to look at me. I went dizzy
Ruel pov:
The past week of not talking to y/n was painful. It really killed me to know that she was better off without me. When I remembered about Gemma's party I wasn't gonna go to avoid people asking about how I was. I didn't care about how I was, I cared about how she was.
Bodhi: I went and talked to her but I can't promise she will show up man
Ruel: Nah thanks, at least she knows
It was about 8 when it really hit me that she was gone. I started drinking, thinking that it would make me feel better but it made me feel worse.
Sam: take it easy on this shit mate, you need to calm down
Ruel: the only reason I came to this stupid fucking party was because I thought y/n would come!
I stormed off down the beach and sat down to think about everything. I love her with my whole heart and there was no way I could let her go that easy. Right before I was about to get up and leave, I heard footsteps in the sand and knew it was her. She stood still for a while, probably looking at the sunset. I turned around to see her standing there looking at me.
Right before I could say anything she burst into tears and ran off. I stood up and started to chase after her
Ruel: y/n! Y/n I'm sorry! Just please-
Kai: just let her go man, it's what's good for her
Ruel: you don't know shit about what's good for her Kai! Now leave me alone
By then she was gone. Probably running home alone in the dark. I needed a way to get to her, but it was too late to call anyone. What do I do? Keiran! Keiran is here, genius! I ran around for a while looking for him, till I almost went ass up tripping over his legs.
Ruel: shit Keiran, watch your legs.
Keiran: hey Ruel. Did you and y/n sort your shit out yet?
Ruel: not quite buddy, that's why I've been looking for ya. I need the keys to the Stang
Keiran: yeah man, take em. I'm going home with Chelsea anyway
Ruel: your a life saver, I owe you
I ran off with his keys, got in the car and drove off. We didn't live far from the beach so I knew she would be home. In 5 minutes I pulled up in their driveway and parked the car. Vi and Ash weren't home (y/n's parents) for the week so it was alright to make some noise.
Ruel: y/n? Y/n? Argh
I knew where she was. When we were little we found the perfect hiding spot on the roof, that we turned into our little get away. I climbed up through her window into the tree where she was sitting. I went and sat next to her pushing the hair out of my face.
Ruel: I shouldnt hav-
y/n: I know, just forget about everything. Okay?
Ruel: Okay
She put her head on my shoulder and held my hand before almost falling asleep. I convinced her to go to bed, so we climbed back into the tree and through my window. We brushed our teeth and got into bed where she feel asleep almost instantly. We were back, and I think stronger then ever
