Chapter 57 : How am I getting out of this one?

***************************************

I woke up alone in my bed. Aaron had stayed over the night, we slept happily next to each other. When I woke up, I found a text from Aaron informing me that he's going to the hospital to see his mom, and that he's taking Mason with him.

I called him and made him assure me that he'll call us as soon as he gets there and checks up on everything.

I don't know whether or not we're going to visit his mom after school, but for now we have tests to do.

I went into class grunting. Nervous about Aaron's mom, but also going crazy over the kiss.

I kissed Aaron. And then spent the night in his arms. Something about that just doesn't feel real, it's all too surreal.

Maybe it would've been better if it took place in a better circumstance but I couldn't help but feel extreme happiness, and I feel like an asshole because Aaron's mom was probably having one of the worst days of her life, and we were just kissing and cuddling.

Aaron Owens does that. Makes you go crazy.

I was almost finished with my test, when my phone so embarrassingly rang in the middle of class. Fuck, I'm gonna get in trouble.

Not gonna lie, I purposely didn't mute my ringtone because I knew Aaron would call any moment to inform me about his mom, but still, I didn't think he'd actually call this early.

I dropped my pen and awkwardly gazed at my paper, trying to pretend as though it's not my phone.

Ethan knew it was mine though, and he widened his eyes at me before laughing quietly to himself from across the room.

The teacher seemed to know it was mine, as she walked up next to my table and asked, "Is that your phone ringing, Miss Rosell?"

There is no point in denying it. Everyone was staring at me.

My phone finally stopped ringing, but it was too late, I muttered an awkward "Yeah.." at my teacher and cleared my throat.

"You couldn't turn your phone off during your test?" She responded, emphasizing the word 'test'.

How am I getting out of this one?

"I'm very very sorry, it's a very important phone call, I had to keep it loud." I whispered, for the sake of others solving the exam.

"You may leave class now." The freaking witch responded, picking up my test paper and walking away.

I huffed in annoyance, grabbing all of my things, and walking out the door.

Eh, I was already almost finished with the test.

I instantly called Aaron back, waiting for him to pick up in anticipation.
