In his eyes, you were the prettiest among all the girls that he saw. For some reason, you, who was simple and plain like the color white, particularly stood out in the crowd of girls who pampered themselves with make ups and accessories.

That was, at least, for him.

His cat-like gaze watched your every move from the table across yours as you timidly ate in the cafeteria with a few of your friends, laughing lightly at times whilst a small blush would often brush across your cheeks.

He wanted to look away and go back to playing as he waits for his friends to finish buying but God, he can't. He really can't.

His heart skipped a beat when your eyes met his. His cheeks somehow felt warm when you made eye contact for a few seconds before he finally broke it, looking down at his gaming console. His breathing became uneven from shock, a weird churning in his stomach could be felt.

He slightly raised his gaze to look at you once more, only to see the cutest expression. You were sipping from your juice box, your whole face reddened in embarrassment whilst your eyes trying to avoid him yet at the same time unconsciously landing onto him, making the blush on your cheeks turn into a deeper hue.

The view was blocked when someone stood before him, he looked up to see that it was his friend, Kuroo, apparently done with buying food. He only stared at him absentmindedly, yet his gaze lingering with disappointment.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go." Kuroo finally said, immediately snapping Kenma back to reality, "Oh..." He muttered before standing up. He gave one last glance at you who was coincidentally looking right back at him. You gave him a small wave, smiling slightly, making him look away from you, his face burning up as he and Kuroo walked to the rooftop where they often ate.

"Are you sick or something?" Kuroo asked, noticing that his friend had a red face, and that their silence were unusual.

"She's pretty..." Kenma unconsciously mumbled, but realizing soon enough what he said, only to blush deeper. Kuroo looked clearly amused with his expression that he raised an eyebrow at him, "Oh?"

"It's nothing, Kuroo. Shut up." Kenma said quietly, slightly embarrassed. "But I haven't said anything." Kuroo chuckled as he pointed out. "I left you alone in the cafeteria for a few minutes and suddenly you're in love, huh?"

What he said made Kenma turn red even more, his grip on his gaming console getting tight when Kuroo teased him, "Shut up." Kenma said once more.

When the two arrived at the rooftop, Kuroo bombarded him with questions regarding the person who caught his friend's interest, though Kenma would only answer with "I don't know"'s or "Shut up"'s. Not only was it because he didn't want to talk about it, but he, himself, didn't know the answer and would very much like to know, as well.

"Hey, how about we eat at the cafeteria tomorrow?" Kenma was surprised by Kuroo's suggestion. Kuroo simply smirked at his expression, though not backing down with his offer. "I doubt she'll be there again..." Kenma murmured.
