DAYS PASSED BY AND DR. LIGHT REFUSED TO SAY ANYTHING. The younger girl had to admit, this speedster metahuman, Zoom, already had three out of three metahumans describe him as something to fear above everything else. Jay was the first one, presenting the team with the monologue of every cliché supervillain. Then came Harry, who everyone in Team Flash should fear and that was why they had to stop the evil speedster before it was too late. Now, they had Dr. Light, practically running to kill for the first time, because she felt like it was the only way to escape from the metahuman forever.
A week passed by with small stuff going around the city, no other major metahumans from Earth-Two or this earth popping out. The only thing that seemed to linger in the cortex, apart from the metahuman woman in her cell, is the fact that they were missing someone of the team.
From her place in her desk chair, Bella looked over at Caitlin sitting down behind the computer desk. The woman was looking down at the screen in front of her, a cup of coffee in her hands. The cup of coffee was so close to the woman's lips, but she didn't take a sip. Her elbows were set on top of the computer desk, her body doing its job of keeping the cup from falling.
A small ball of pity grew in Bella's chest for the woman. The young girl had seen the way that Caitlin had turned sad and worried after a little over a day passed by and Jay still hadn't returned. Bella had tried to reassure the woman that the blond man from another earth just needed time to cool off. But, even she herself was beginning to doubt her own words.
"Caitlin," Bella called out the woman, seeing her friend turn her attention from the screen to Bella, "you good?"
Caitlin blinked for a second before she snapped back to reality as she blinked quickly. Bella watched as Caitlin to look down at her now cold cup of coffee and then to her left, where Cisco sat. The shoulder length engineering genius looked over at Caitlin with a lifted eyebrow, silently asking the woman beside him the same question. Caitlin looked from one of them to the other, before she hesitantly nodded her head, "Yes."
Bella was about to keep asking her friend, probably throw in one of her famous speeches that were meant to reassure a person but also make them laugh, until someone interrupted her. Bella turned her head to the curved hallway, where her father came walking in. Like always, when he was in a hurry, he spilled his new findings. How Dr. Light finally revealed something to him and simply passed the information on.
Bella stared at her father through his speech, sitting in her chair and slightly spinning from side to side with the toe of her foot on the ground. From her spot, she looked over at Caitlin and noticed the woman look at Barry with conflict, "Zoom wants Doctor Light to send him your new emblem."
"Yes." Barry nodded his head from the curved hallway entrance where he stood during his whole speech, "We need it for bait. If we can get Doctor Light to take my emblem, throw it through the breach, then Zoom will come to collect my body, and we can trap him."
Cisco, leaning back on his chair behind the computer desk, hands folded behind his head, glanced over at the speedster, "You know it took a lot of work to make that emblem, right?"
Barry looked over at Cisco on the other side of Caitlin, just looking at him in wonder for a second. He wasn't really in the mood to say something, so he only looked back at Caitlin. The woman only looked back at him in disbelief, still holding the cup of coffee in her hands, "This is the woman who was willing to kill Linda in order to escape Zoom, but now she's willing to help us catch him?"
Barry shrugged his shoulders, looking from Cisco and Caitlin, over to Bella at her desk for support. Bella looked back at her father with matching eyes and shrugged her shoulders back at him. She couldn't exactly state her opinion on trusting someone she hasn't officially met face to face. She was strictly told she wasn't allowed anywhere near Dr. Light, for any reason. A year ago, Bella would've gone against the rules and walked over to the cell with Dr. Light and fed her curiosity to know more about the woman. But this year, she wasn't exactly in any hurry to make any drama between herself and a metahuman. That was just a predictable way to create drama.
