"Dads! Dads!" Emily ran in and jumped on Patrick and I. "Guess what!" She yelled.
"What's up, baby?" Patrick asked, as I opened my eyes. Patrick was laying on his side, looking up at Emily who was standing in between us. I was facing him.
"I slept in the room all by myself!" She said. She started jumping up and down.
Patrick reached up and took her hand, "Good job! I'm proud of you! Now stop jumping, please."
Emily sat down on my legs.
"Hey!" I chuckled.
She smiled.
"Hey... how would you..." I poked her arm. "Like to go see Green Day?" I asked.
Her eyes lit up. "Really!?"
"Yup."
She dove onto the bed next to me and hugged me. "Thank you thank you thank you!" She said.
I chuckled as I hugged her back. "Thank daddy too... he's the one who brought that up." I said.
Emily tackled Patrick in a hug too. "Thank you thank you thank you!"
He laughed and hugged her back. "Go pick out what you're going to wear." He said.
She got up and ran to her room.
"I want to invite your mom and my parents over to meet her." I said.
"That'd be nice." Patrick looked at me and smiled.
"Wouldn't it be, though?" I smiled and kissed him.
The front door opened and closed. "I'm home, losers!" Taylor called.
I laughed as I pulled away from Patrick.
He rolled his eyes and stood. "Hey, Taylor!" He called.
"Taylor!" Emily called.
Patrick and I walked out of our room in time to see Emily running out to meet Taylor.
"Hey-ey!" Taylor chuckled as she knelt down and hugged Emily.
"Hi!" Emily cried. "Guess what!"
"What?" Taylor asked.
"I'm going to see the most bestest band ever!"
Taylor chuckled, "Oh yeah? And who's that?"
"Green Day!"
"Really?"
"Yeah!"
"When?"
"Today!"
"Oh that's great!" Taylor smiled at her and ruffled her hair. "Have fun, kid."
-At.The.Concert-
"You're in luck, sir." The front desk lady said.
"Oh thank God!" I sighed in relief.
Patrick and Emily stood off to the side.
"This was our last pass. And the seat next to you guys was open." The lady handed me the ticket and the pass.
"I can't thank you enough." I said.
She smiled at me. "Enjoy the show."
"Thank you." I turned walked over to Patrick and Emily.
Emily looked up at me. "Can I have my ticket, daddy?" She asked.
"I'm gonna hold onto it so you don't lose, okay?" I asked.
