"Pete..." Patrick shook me lightly.
"I'm so tired, Trick." I groaned.
He laughed. "Come on. Breakfast is on the table."
"What'd you make?" I asked.
"Pancakes." He responded.
I pulled the blanket over my head.
"Would you like breakfast pizza?" He asked.
"I LOVE YOU!" I jumped up and tackled him with hugs and kisses.
He laughed. "I love you too. Now come on."
I got up and walked with him downstairs.
"Where's Emily?" I asked, noticing our daughter wasn't at the table.
"She's still asleep." He said.
"Why did I have to get up, then?" I asked.
"I was gonna wake her up. I just wanted t I'll walk with you." He said.
I smiled and put an arm around him.
He reached up and caught my lips with his.
We stayed like that for a little while. Until he pulled away. "I'll go get Emily up."
"Wait... No one says we have to get her up." I smirked and wiggled an eyebrow.
"Pete!" He said.
I laughed. "Come on... let's go back upstairs and... uh... "sleep." If you know what I mean." I winked.
He thought for a minute. "With a kid in the house?" He asked.
"At least promise me later! If you think I can keep my hands off of you forever, think again, Trick." I said.
"I know... but you just have to wait." He said.
Emily walked downstairs. "Hi!" She said.
"Hey, honey..." Patrick said, walking over to her. He set her at the table and walked over to the counter where he made her a plate.
I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around him. "Did you look into that school?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yesterday while you Taylor and Emily were playing that game."
"And like promised, I looked into some job offers" I said.
"And?"
"There's one that I'm going in for this Friday."
"That's great!" He looked over his shoulder at me and kissed my cheek.
"Are we going to go look at beds?" I asked.
He nodded. "I wanted to." He said.
"Alright well we need to get gas then... I'm almost on E." I said.
"We also need to look into preschools for missy over there." Patrick pointed to Emily.
"We still need to call your mom and my parents over." I said.
He nodded.
I looked at Emily who was staring out the window. "Did you apply to get into the school." I asked Patrick.
"Yeah."
"Were you accepted?" I looked back at him.
"I won't know until next Monday." He said.
Emily picked up her plate and walked over to us. "I'm done." She said.
"You didn't touch your pancakes." Patrick said.
