"Who is it," I roll over in bed towards the door.
"Aye man these lil niggas here," Rico says.
"Ight," I sit up. After a minute I stand walking to the door. When I walk out the office door everyone's already huddled around. I look to the left and see a group of kids different ages and shit.

"So it's true you are back," one of the lil niggas around 16 or 17 says.
"Yeah. This ain't a permanent stay I just need to get some shit handled," I say.

"Now which one of y'all is Muhammad," I scan my eyes over the group.
"That's me yo," a 5'11 dark skin kid steps up.
"Son how old are you," I say looking over clothes.
"18 yesterday," he says.

"Word? Well happy belated birthday. Let me ask you a question why you out on the street," I ask.

"Mama a crack head. After I finished high school didn't have shit to do. So I just been hustling on the street. I picked up this lil gang or whatever and I been taking care of them like they my own family," Muhammad gestures to the group. I take a closer look at the group. 3 of them under the age of 10. 4 teenage girls, one looks like she's pregnant.
"That yo seed," I nod to the girl.

"Nawl. That's Talia she's new to the group. She was raped by her father," he says.

"Come here," I says to the girl. She slowly moves forward until she's to my out stretched hand.
"How old are you?" I say. I look at her dirtied clothes.
"16," she says embarrassed. Shit like this make a nigga want to cry.

"How far along are you," I say trying to compose my self.
"I don't.. I don't know. Maybe 4 1/2 months," she says. When she says that a few individuals react a certain way.

"Give me your father's address," Snoop says taking the girl by the hand. Talia nods and walk off with him.

"And how exactly do you protect these kids," I directing my eyes back to him.
"With this," Muhammad lifts up his shirt showing a silver 9mm tucked into his pants.

"I even taught some offem to shoot," he says proudly. I smile, this is probably one of the realist young niggas I've met.
"Where y'all holding up at?" Rico asks pulling out a wood.

"Right now we on 5th and grant," Muhammad says referring to the abandoned movie theater on grant street. I nod my head taking in everything that's been said.
"I can get y'all in a better place," I start.

"Mister. I don't want to go with the white folks in foster care," a little black girl steps up. She look about 6 years old. I smile picking her up into my arms.
"No. I'm not gon let you go with the white folks," I say a few from laugh a little.

"Aye we still got those vacant rooms in the back." I ask looking at Rico who shrugs his shoulders.
"Yeah they still there," one of the henchies says.

"Alright I got a business proposition for you. Y'all can stay here in those vacant rooms. Girls in one boys in the other. And in return y'all work for me," I say.

"Well actually that's up to Rico, I'm not the one in charge but it's a suggestion," I turn my head to Rico. Everyone waits for his response.
"What you want us doing pushing weed?" Muhammad puts his hands in his pockets.

" nawl lil nigga. Working for me give yall some honest jobs and be off the street. When y'all get older y'all can decide whether y'all wanna get in the business or not," Rico states. I looking at the little girl in my arm who cuddles her head into my neck.
