Lyla POV
*LAST BELL*
when the last bell rang i packed up my stuff and waited for Vennie. We got our stuff and walked out of the classroom.
"so what are you doing after school" V says as we stop at her locker
"i have a doctors appointment for my stomach bug around 4" i say "wanna come i don't want to go alone" i add as we walk to my locker
"yeah i'm down" V says as i open my locker and grab my stuff
when i finish with my things i look around and see no sign of Troy.
"we aren't gonna last like i thought V" i sigh starting to walk
"its okay you have me and your family, all you need" she says wrapping her arm around my neck walking with me
we walk out the school door and start the short journey to my house to relax before my appointment.
as we are walking to my house i still begin to look around like Troy is just gonna magically pop up next to us in his car. Vennie notices and tries to take my mind off of things.
"honestly i'm the only date you need Lyla. i mean come on. we are with each other all the time, we go on dates ourselves, i'm pretty sure you and i have bought more things for each other than Troy has" she says wrapping her arms around my neck again
i giggle "you're right V we're basically already dating. that makes it 12 years being together" i say
"dang we're old 12 years of knowing each other and "dating" each other would've never thought" she says smiling
"i know i need a break from you you're tiring to be with" i joke pretending to slump
we both share a laugh as we arrive at my house. we walk up to the door and walk in setting our things down and walking straight to the kitchen. Vennie sits down at the counter and i open the fridge door. i toss a water bottle her way and grab one for myself.
"i hope i caught this bug early enough so it doesn't get worse" i say grabbing the bag of grapes as well and walking over to Vennie
i sit down and watch tik toks with Vennie as we let time pass by
"what if it's not a big Ly?" V said looking up at me
"what do you mean? that's the only thing i could think of.." i reply eating some more grapes looking at her worried
"it could be a bug- or what if
you're pregnant Ly.." she says smiling a little
Vennie has always wanted a niece or nephew out of me but i do take what she says into consideration
"then...i don't know what imma do. i mean we aren't kids anymore- and i'm responsible but a little baby running around" i eat some more grapes looking at her with a nervous face "and what if troy is cheating or something what do i do.." i add
"we don't need boys. they're gross anyways. you got me. i've always wanted you to have a baby cause your genes are cute. plus i'm your lesbian lover we raise things together all the time" Vennie says excitedly
"we'll see at the doctors.." i laugh a bit still nervous and go back to my phone until it's time to head to the doctors
*TIME SKIP 1 HR*
while waiting we were watching tv and vennie fell asleep as she usually does
"let's go child" i say standing up slapping vennie on the ass as she was asleep
"ouchhh!" she screams rubbing her ass
i laugh at her and grab my keys and jacket waiting for her to stop complaining and get up so we can leave
"you're so rude" she pouts getting up and grabbing her stuff
"you wouldn't have woken up any other way" i state opening the door and walking out
"true" she responds closing the door
we both laugh and get in the car heading to the doctors office
*DOCTORS OFFICE*
as we arrived to the office i was getting more and more anxious with the possibilities of what was wrong with me. could vennie be right? was it just a bug? my head was spinning
"earth to lyla? lylaaaa?" vennie says getting me out of my thoughts
"huh?" is all i say looking over at her
"we're here let's go or you're gonna be late" she says
"oh right" i say turning the car off and grabbing the keys opening the door
"ly- no need to be nervous. no matter what you got a good support system..you hear me" she says holding my hand trying to calm me down a bit
i smile and nod my head getting out the car and closing it looking over at her
"we got this.." i whisper walking over to her side and grabbing her hand and squeezing it
we walk into the office and i write my name down while vennie sits. the receptionist asks the usual questions and hands me a clipboard and some papers to fill out while we wait for my name to get called back. i walk over to vennie and fill the papers out
"can we start thinking of names" vennie smiles looking at me
i chuckle and fill the papers out
"what if i'm not even pregnant and i just have a cyst or bug. huh. we still gonna name that?" i respond finishing the papers
"yes. if they let us keep the cyst" she jokes laughing
i roll my eyes playfully and laugh with her
