The Wrong Future

Episode 2: Explanations

-Classroom-

Teacher: Alright, Jaemin, Jeno and Y/N. You have an hour to clean up.

We all nod and get to work, splitting up the work so it's easier. I was cleaning the windows and board while Jaemin was sweeping and mopping and Jeno was cleaning the chairs and tables.

Jeno: Y/N?

Y/N: Please Jeno, not again.

Jeno: I just wanna apologise... I'm sorry for causing you trouble. I realise now that I can't get back what I lost. I'll stop bothering you from now on so can we be friends?

I was focused on cleaning but I still heard what he said.

Jeno: It's okay if you don't want to.

I don't say anything for a bit and I don't have to look back to know they're both looking at me.

Y/N: ... Okay.

I look back and indeed they both were staring at me.

Y/N: Just don't mess up again, okay?

Jeno: *smiles* I won't.

Jaemin shakes his head and is the first to get back to work. I finished cleaning the windows first so I decided to help Jaemin mop since Jeno was almost done as well.

I mopped behind wherever Jaemin finished sweeping to make it faster.

Jaemin: You don't have to. I'll finish off, don't worry.

Y/N: Just let me help you.

He shrugs and continues sweeping. We finish the first classroom and head onto the next one. In about an hour we finished cleaning five classrooms and were told to go home.

The assignment was to clean the entire school within a week and at this pace, we might just finish.

-Outside of School-

Y/N: Ugh, I can't believe it's raining. I didn't even bring my umbrella.

I feel something hover over me and look up to see two umbrellas colliding on top of my head.

Y/N: What're you two doing?

Jeno: You said you didn't have an umbrella.

Jaemin: So I thought I'd share one with you.

They push each other's umbrellas away from me and I sigh as I step away from the two of them. I extend my hand out to Jeno and do a "give me" motion.

Y/N: Jeno, gimme your umbrella.

He smiles and hands it over to me, secretly trying to pull his tongue at Jaemin when I'm not looking but I still see it.

Y/N: Since you guys have gotten so chummy, why don't the two of you share one?

Jaemin & Jeno: What?!

Jeno: I wanted to share one with you.

Jaemin: I'm not sharing one with this lunatic.

I shrug and walk away finally entering the rain with Jeno's umbrella. I look back once I'm a safe distance away and see the two still fighting, Jeno chasing after Jaemin as he gets slightly drenched.

Jaemin: I said I'm not sharing with you!

Jeno: Come on, I'm gonna get sick over here!

Jaemin: No, leave me alone!

Jeno: Fine, I'll just go share with Y/N.

Jaemin: What? Hey, wait!

They're now both chasing after each other, continuously bickering which makes me laugh.
