Season 2 Episode 2: Mental Trauma

-Hospital-

[Y/N's POV]

Y/N: Who are you?

I look around the room for familiar faces and see my parents looking back at me, shock on their faces. What's happening?

Y/N: Mom, dad.

I speed walk over to them and hug them as soon as I'm close enough.

Y/N: What's wrong with me? Why am I here?

They stare at me dumbfounded, not saying a word which makes me more worried.

That's when someone else burst in through the door, two people to be specific. They're both wearing lab coats but one of them has a stethoscope around his neck.

Assuming they're the doctors, I walk over to them and ask them my questions instead.

???: Calm down Y/N, you're okay. My name is Mark, I'm your doctor and this is Lucas, my assistant.

I briefly look over to Lucas who nods his head at me after which I focus back on Mark.

Y/N: Please tell me what's going on. Am I sick? Why is no one saying anything?!

Mark: You're okay Y/N. You've been in coma for 57 years. Please sit down, I need to make some diagnosis' on you.

Y/N: I've been in coma?

I look around at the people in the room; some I don't recognise while those that I do look utterly shocked. Why isn't anyone saying anything?

Mark guides me back onto the bed as he makes me sit.

That's when I notice the guy who suddenly hugged me when he came in.

He looks sad as he watches the doctor do his check up on me. Without another word he rushed out of the room while another person I didn't recognise followed him.

[Author's POV]

Mark: What's the last thing you remember Y/N?

Y/N: Uhh, I went on a date with Jeno and then he dropped me off home.

Mark nods his head.

Mark: How old are you?

Y/N: 17

Mark's eyes soften realising the girl remembers nothing about what happened to her.

Maybe it was better that way since her recent memories were not so pleasant however, that also meant she didn't remember anyone from her recent memories.

The doctor finishes his check up and smiles at Y/N before walking out of the room leaving Y/N alone with everyone else in the room.

The only people she knew were her parents, Renjun and Jeno but the other four were a complete mystery to her, although one of the girls looked familiar.

-Hallway-

As soon as Mark walked out, he noticed the prince hunched over one of the chairs. Jaehyun tapped on Jaemin's shoulder making Jaemin look up over to Mark while the latter walked towards him.

Jaemin: How is she?

Mark: She's suffering from psychogenic amnesia. It's amnesia caused by a traumatic experience which means that prince Taeyong probably did something that she felt was better to forget.

Jaemin's blood boiled at the thought of what his brother might have done to her. 57 years have passed and yet they were still unable to find him after the flood.

Mark: However, that also means that she's forgotten everyone that's related to or led up to that memory.

Jaemin raises his eyes back to Mark, his heart stopping for a split second.
