Season 2 Episode 6: Warm Welcomes

They all look at Yangyang who comes out of the shadows and towards Y/N.

Yangyang: Haechan, he's in jail for suspected assault on you when you passed out earlier. The poor guy must be torturing himself in there. You need to get him out.

Y/N was furious upon hearing that. She couldn't believe that someone in Noresen would do something like that to Haechan, the boy who kept Y/N alive when she was kidnapped.

Y/N: Who put him in there?

As if on cue, they all look over at Jaemin who had been pushed aside as they all came barging in. Jaemin gives a weak smile while Y/N glares at him.

Jaemin: I... wonder who? Get him out of there, now!

Yangyang smiles and rushes out of the room to go and fetch Haechan.

Y/N: Why would you do that?!

Jaemin: I thought he hurt you!

Y/N: You know he wouldn't.

Jaemin: I... I... I honestly don't know how to justify myself properly anymore.

Renjun: Wow.

Jeno: This is interesting.

Tzuyu: He only just proposed.

Lisa: And you guys are acting like a married couple already.

Y/N and Jaemin look at each other with smiles on their faces.

Irene: Mark, when can Y/N leave the hospital? We need to have this wedding ASAP!

Kun: Calm down Irene, let them decide when they'll have it.

Irene: Let them decide? We don't have time for that!

Y/N's parents continue to bicker making everyone else in the room laugh.

The door opens once again to reveal a worried looking Haechan with a frustrated looking Yangyang.

Yangyang: He was refusing to come in.

Y/N: Why?

Yangyang: He says he deserves to be in there.

Y/N: Haechan, if I wanted you in there I never would've saved you from Prince Taeyong.

Johnny: What my son has done is inexcusable but please allow us to compensate for him.

Haechan vigorously shakes his head as tears begin to pool in his eyes. He looks down, not wanting anyone to see them.

Haechan: I don't deserve your kindness.

Y/N: Don't be silly.

Y/N gets off her bed and walks towards the door where Haechan was stood.

She gently lifts his face and smiles at him.

Y/N: Thank you, for taking care of me. Thank you, for keeping me sane and constantly being a reminder that there's still hope. I don't know what I would've done if it weren't for you.

Haechan: But I wasn't able to protect you, I couldn't help you when you most needed it.

Y/N: Nonsense. Are you trying to make me mad?

Haechan: No. I just-

Y/N: You just nothing, okay? You're one of the biggest reasons why I'm still here today. Stop telling yourself you don't deserve this because you do. Every single bit.

Tears finally drip down the boy's face as he quickly wipes them away, a faint smile appearing.

Y/N smiles feeling content as she gives the boy a quick hug.
