The Aftermath

      After the announcement, Diana still reeling from what had been said, silently and slowly went to her next class. 

She just couldn't understand, sure he had enough problems, his home life, his grades, girl troubles but, suicide? They had joked about suicide before (as you do), they knew it was a serious topic, but they would jokingly yell something like "I wanna fcuking D I E" when they stubbed their toe or got a bad grade on a test. 

He'd never actually do it? We both agreed that we'd never seriously kill ourselves, no matter how bad it became, why wouldn't he tell me? she thought.

And yet, he had




When she got home that evening, she walked through the door to see her brother Edward, standing in the kitchen getting ready to make dinner, he stared with a sad look in his eyes the second she walked in. He had heard what happened and knew how close she and Kai were. Diana immediately dropped her stuff and ran into her brother's arms, already sobbing.

All he could do was say, "I'm so sorry sis". They stood there, Diana bawling, and Edward holding her and silently going "Sshhh" for about 20 minutes.

Diana went to bed after that, it was only five-o-clock, she hadn't eaten her lunch or dinner and she was starving, but it didn't matter.

Nothing mattered because 

Kai was dead
