During our outburst, two more boys walked in and asked to join us. The first was a tall, brown haired boy, who had a few scars in his face, though he didn't look particularly scary because of them, in fact, more the opposite really, and I soon found myself noticing them less and less, due to his shy and kind personality. The second was a very short and plump boy, who seemed to be cowering slightly behind the first. I felt a bit sorry for him really. Before anyone could answer them, I turned to James and said in Latin "We're very popular today, aren't we, Jamsie!" This caused us to practically fall on top of each other, in fits of laughter. The others just looked at us, pure confusion written on all of their faces, until the tall boy said, "Was that Latin?" His expression soon changed from confusion, to wonder.
James the replied by saying, "Yeah, our dads taught us because they are co-heads of the auror's office at the ministry of magic, and they learnt it to help on missions, and learning and creating new spells."
"Wow!" They answered simultaneously. This caused me to turn to James and say, "We're rubbing off on them!" Bringing about more laughter.

Once we had finally calmed down, we learn't that the tall boys name was Remus Lupin, and the shorter, plumper boy was Peter Pettigrew. Remus began to seem more of a relaxed and quiet person, but a great and loyal friend, and Peter seemed much more enthusiastic, and you could tell that the poor fellow was just desperate to be our friend.
I then had a great idea for getting to know each other better.
"Guys!" I said, grinning from ear to ear. "Why don't we play a game? A bit like twenty questions, only you can ask as many as you want, to whoever you want!" I suggested.
"That's a great idea!" Exclaimed Sirius.
"Who should go first?" I asked.
"Why don't you, Ro? It was your brilliant idea?" James said encouragingly with a smile.
"Okay!" I said. Hmm... Who to ask. I looked around at the faces of our small group. James seemed smug, as if knowing that I wouldn't ask him, as I already knew pretty much everything about him anyway. Wow. That really didn't mean to sound stalkerish. Bingo. I know what to ask! "I'm gonna ask everyone this one," cue the complaints..."what house do you want to be in... And why?" I asked them.
They all thought for a bit, then James spoke first. "You obviously know that I want to be in Gryffindor, but I want to be in it because I feel that it's the best house that suits my personality, because I'm not really very 'knowledge seeking' or 'power hungry' and I like to think that I'm brave, like a lion!" He said confidently.
"Yeah, like you were when I threw that spider at you the other day!" I whispered to Sirius, as I cracked up.
James obviously didn't hear, as he just looked at us, tilting his head to the side, his expression plain confusion. Once we'd finished, Sirius then said,
"I want to be in Gryffindor aswel, partly because, like James, I think it suits my personality best, and the other reason is because I want to prove to my family that I'm different, and not a prejudiced Slytherin." He finished with a scowl.
"Preach!" I said, clapping at his answer. That was all it took, for the others to start guffawing. Soon we were all in hysterics.
"Well," began a Remus thoughtfully,"I'm not sure, I would love to be in Gryffindor, like my father, and with you lot, but I would also quite like Ravenclaw, as I love reading, and learning, but I also wouldn't mind Hufflepuff, because they are all very kind, and I always stick up for my friends." He finished.
"Wow." I said. "That was deep Reemy!" Cue the hysterical laughter...
"Um..." Said Peter nervously, "I would love to be in Gryffindor with all my friends," he began, glancing at all of us, as if to say 'I am your friend, right?' "but I don't know about being brave." He said sadly.
"Don't worry, Peter." I said, smiling kindly, "it takes a great deal of bravery to admit you don't feel you are brave enough."
"Yeah!" James agreed, "I'm sure your really brave when you want to be!" Peter looked delighted at his complements, as he started blushing, and looked down muttering a sheepish 'Thank you.'
I then said, "I know I asked the question, but I'm gonna answer it anyway." Looking around, I saw everyone nodding, as if asking me to continue. " Well, I'd love to be in Gryffindor, because all my family has been, and it's where my friends will be, but I can't help but think that all the houses seem wonderful, like in Hufflepuff, they are incredibly kind and happy, and Ravenclaw are always happy to help you, and are very knowledgeable, and Slytherin, the people are just misjudged by the occasional bad wizard from them! But I would be very happy in any house." I said happily.
After a few seconds of silence, Sirius responded "Preach." Causing another wave of laughter.

For the rest of the trainride, we were just talking, and getting to know each other more. Me and Remus, for example, bonded over muggle books we had read, as it turned out we both loved reading. We were currently talking about a book we had both read, called 'The Lord of The Flies'.
"It was incredibly well written," I began.
"Oh yeah," said Remus, "but it was a bit... Whats the word?" He asked me.
"Brutal?" I suggested, "Dark?"
"Yeah..." He agreed quietly. It was then that Peter decided to start a conversation with Remus about terrifying experience he had had with a Gryndylow over the summer. Something about his story though, made me think he was making the whole thing up. I wasn't sure if it was the fact that Peter had previously told me in secret that he couldn't swim without arm bands, or that he fought of 'billions of them' as he had put it. But I didn't want to rain on his parade, so I left him and Remus chatting whilst i went to talk with James and Sirius.
"Hey guys!" I greeted cheerfully as I sat next to Sirius. "What are you talking about?"
"Quidditch!" They exclaimed excitedly together.
"Hey!" I said scowling at Sirus, hitting his arm as i spoke, "That's mine and Jamie boys thing!" As James laughed at us.
"Do you play?" Sirius asked me.
"Do I?" I scoffed, "I could out fly you any day, Black!" I said smirking at his face.
"In. Your. Dreams." He said, leaning in at each word.
"We'll have a bet then!" My smirk only growing, "10 galleons I can score more goals than you in under 10 minutes." I said, holding my hand out for him to shake.
"Your on Heartweather!" He replied, returning the smirk as he shook my hand.
"Good luck, mate!" James warned him, "your gonna need it!"
Suddenly Sirius didn't look so confident.
Suddenly Remus decided to join our conversation.
"How can you play if you don't have your brooms?" He asked me.
"What makes you think I don't have my broom?" I said slyly.
"The letter said first years aren't allowed them!" Remus told me, as if it were obvious.
"Do you really think a little rule would cause me to leave it at home?" I questioned him in outrage, as the mere thought shocked me to the core.
"Um... Yes?" He said uncertainly
I looked at him as if he had grown a second head.
"No?" He restated.
"Good answer!" I nodded at him, "i asked my dad to put an undetectable extension charm on my trunk so we could fit the brooms, and the pranking equipment in it without my mum noticing!" I announced proudly.
"Very clever wasn't it!" James boasted, "It was my idea!"
"No it wasn't you git!" I cried, smacking the side of his head.
"Ow! Ro that hurt!" He whined, as I snickered at him.
"Good." I snapped snapping my head to the side, so my hair whipped him in the face.
"Rooooooo!" He moaned, as me and the others started laughing at him.
"Oh look!" I pointed out, "we're coming into Hogsmead!" We stared in awe at the incoming staion, with lanterns lit all around it, giving it a warm, golden glow.
We then frantically began gathering our trunks and owls, with a lot of pushes and shoves, and we quickly made our way down the train to get off.
We left our bags and owls in large pile, as instructed to do so by one of the Gryffindorr prefects.
I then heard a voice I recognised, and turned to James to see that he had aswell.
"FIRS' YEARS! FIRS' YEARS OVER 'ERE," Called the familiar voice.
"HAGRID!" We called in unison, taking off towards him, leaving our new friends looking absolutely baffled, staring after us.
