Our first lesson of the day was potions, so we turned up, nine o'clock sharp at the dungeons for our first lesson with Professor Slughorn. He was a rather short man, in his late forties I presumed. He was a plump man, and you could tell that his hair was wearing away.
"Good morning, class!" He greeted us cheerfully. "Come in and find a seat." He smiled, indicating the cast array of seats in the classroom.
Lily quickly walked off to sit with Sev, which I was a bit hurt about, until I saw them waving me and Andromeda to sit behind them.
"I hope we do something exciting this lesson," I whispered to Meda, "and not the whole, 'this is a very difficult subject,' yada, yada, yada. 'always pay attention,' yada, yada, yada!" I immigrated Slughorns peppy voice.
We barely stifled our laughs as Professor Slughorn turned to is and asked, "something you wanted to say girls?"
"Oh yes, professor!" I exclaimed with an exaggerated cheerfulness, "I was just telling Meda here, that in potions you must always pay attention and that it is a very difficult subject." I said knowingly.
Meda was practically having a fit to try and silence her giggles.
"Are you alright, Miss Black?" He asked her concernedly as she fell off her chair.
"Oh no!" I dramatised, "she's having a seizure!" a few of the muggle borns, Lily included has to stifle their laughs as they new perfectly well what a seizure was, and this was not it. But we didn't tell Sluggy that.
"Oh goodness!" He exclaimed, "take her to the hospital wing then, my dear!" He exclaimed.
"Will do, Sir!" I said, saluting him.
"Come on, Meda!" I yelled with encouragement as I lifted one of her arms over my shoulders. "stay with me! Help is on the way!" I called dramatically, bringing out the 'tears' and 'sobbing'. As I dragged her through the door I noticed that most of the students were laughing silently into their hands.
Once we were a safe distance away, we burst out laughing, and collapsed on the floor. We didn't stop for around 10 minutes.
"That was bloody brilliant!" I laughed!
"Come on!" She laughed, "We've got two hours to kill!"
Until the bell for break rang, we were sat in Meda's dorm, on her bed chatting and getting to know each other better. I learned that she was from an extremely strict, pureblood family, who were obsessed with the dark arts.
She learnt that I came from an all Gryffindor family, who were all very successful, no pressure there.
Once the time for break came around, we pretty much knew everything about each other.
Together we headed to the great hall, where we were going to sit with James, Sirius and Remus, together because she wanted to meet them. Well, obviously she knew Sirius, because he's her cousin, but you know what I mean!
We all couldn't stop laughing at the Prank me and Meda pulled, even Lily, who was sitting opposite us, laughed. And she just thinks that pranks are immature. Once break was over, I said goodbye to Meda as she headed to History of Magic, and we went looking for the Divination classroom.
Once we found it, we were welcomed into a loft like, stuffy room, filled with cushions, ad squishy chairs.
"Hello, dears," said the eery, and misty voice of Professor Cassiopeia, our Divination teacher. She kind of reminded me of an old moth ball.
I sat down with Lily at a small table, while James and Sirius, and Remus and Peter sat together.
"Welcome, welcome!" Greeted the mothball, "I am professor Cassiopeia, your Divination teacher. Our first lesson is is on crystal balls. I want each of you to focus on the mist in the ball, and have a look if you can see anything. Remember to open up your mind and soul, and look into the beyond!" She instructed.
I looked into the ball, at first seeing only mist, but then shapes began to form. They were faces, but they were changing so fast that I only recognised a select few, such as James, Lily, the twins, Molly and Arthur's and Meda.
