After Divination, Lily, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter all made our way to the great hall for lunch. The whole way there I was trying to figure out why the crystal ball showed me faces? It's never done that before, it's always shown me a vision from the near future, not faces! I'm so confused.
Once we made it to the Gryffindor table, Meda muttered something about going to see Lucius and Cissy. The others where eating but I was simply shuffling my food around the plate, they were all talking about how naff Divination was. I think James noticed my unusual quietness, as he kept shooting me concerned glances.
Once we had all finished, James announced he was going for a walk.
I made to get up, but James grabbed my hand and said, "want to come with?" I nodded and gave him a small smile.
As he was holding my hand, he vegan to tap his fingers to the rhythm of "are you okay?"in morse code. I nodded my head absentmindedly.
"You had a vision, didn't you." It wasn't a question. I simply nodded. "what happened?" He asked me concernedly.
"That's the point," I whispered, "nothing." I looked him directly in the eye. "All I saw was faces."
"Well that's odd." He said puzzled.
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"It was probably nothing." James assured me, smiling.
"Just relax, Ro. It's your first day! You don't want to over exhaust yourself!" He chuckled.
"Your probably right." I mumbled.
"I'm sorry?" He asked feigning confusion, "but did you, Rose Silverwell Heartweather just admit that I, James John Potter was right!" He finished with a mighty smirk.
"Shove off!" I laughed at him. The thing about James, is that he may seem a bit arrogant and cocky, but he's always there to cheer you up if you need it!
"I'll race you to the lake!" I called, taking off at a sprint towards the Black Lake.
We ran laughing, then turned to look a each other, nodding with mad glint in our eyes, and we both dived into the lake. At first the water seemed cold, but it soon warmed up a bit.
When I was younger, I found that I adore the water, whether it be swimming, washing up the dishes (that always ended with the kitchen flooded), or having a bath, I loved it! I also discovered that I can hold my breath for an extremely long period of time. As I was swimming around, I saw a large pink thing block my vision. Whatever it was, it was Absolutely HUGE! Like filling up half the lake, huge. I was confused until I heard a deep rumbling sound, and then someone, or something spoke.
Hello, child.
To say I freaked out would be an understatement. I did probably the stupidest thing anyone could do underwater. I gasped. 'You bloody idiot!' I thought to myself. The thing is though, nothing happened. No drowning, no flailing, nothing. I can breathe underwater. I CAN BLOODY BREATHE UNDERWATER!
