Chapter 4

Y/N's POV
"Hi, nice to meet you too. I'm Y/N." I smile at the boy named Luka who stands in front of me. "Y/N just moved here." Marinette says, smiling over at me. "Yeah from America." Alya adds. "She's super awesome!" Rose squeals.
"Thanks Rose but I'm not that special." I blush a little at the praise. "If you can be nice to Chlowe then you're really special." Alya laughed. "Well I've got to go work on some homework now. It was nice meeting you Y/N." Luka smiles at me again. I smile back and try to ignore the weird electricity I felt as he did so.
"Yeah it was nice meeting you too Luka. See you later." He walks back out of the room and Alya looks at Marinette and Rose for a second, then at me then mouths something at them and they nod.
"That was fast." Juleka says from beside me. I turn to look at her questioningly. "What was fast?" "Oh nothing." Alya says with a little smirk on her face. "Ok?" I say which causes all of them to burst out laughing.
I join in after a second because I'm happy. After that we listened to some music and tried to come up with a plan to get Marinette and Adrien together. "It probably shouldn't be anything big." I say, eating a chip from the bag that Juleka had grabbed for all of us.
"Why not?" Alya asks. "Because a lot of the time the little things are more affective." Marinette looks at me. "What do you mean?" "I mean that sometimes just getting closer to him, like making a point to talk to him or something, can get you a lot farther than some kind of big gesture."
Marinette smiles a little to herself. "Yeah I get that. But what if I don't know what to say?" "Just try to talk to him normally. It doesn't have to be anything big, just a normal conversation." "It's that simple?" She asks. I nod, brushing some of my H/C H/L hair out of my face. "That simple."
"Ok I'll try to do that!" "Don't you already do that?" Alya asks. "I don't usually have a chance to because he's always talking to someone else." "Then just join in the conversation, as long as it's not personal I mean." I laugh a little.
"And as long as you actually know something about what they're talking about." Alya adds. "But the big things are so cute!" Rose exclaims. "Yeah but we don't know if he'd be comfortable with a big thing that draws attention." I tell her. Juleka nods. "Sometimes people don't want those things that draw a lot of attention on themselves." She says quietly.
"Ok." Rose sighs a little. Then we all settle down to watch some videos on Juleka's computer for a while before we all leave.
As I'm walking out the door I hear a boy's voice from behind me. "Bye Y/N." I turn to see Luka standing in the doorway of a room.
"Bye Luka." I step outside to see Alya and Marinette squealing together, Rose wasn't leaving yet because Juleka and her had to work on something. "I didn't know who to ship him with for so long but now I do! It's perfect!" Alya cries excitedly. "Who's shipping who with who now?" I ask, confused.
"What? Oh Y/N, no one! Just someone from an anime we watch." Alya says, laughing a little. "Oohh which anime?" I ask, matching her excitement. We talked about anime on the way back to our homes until we had to split up.
"I'm home!" I call out as I enter the house. "Hey Sweetheart how was your first day?" Mom called back from the living room. I walk in to see her on the couch.
"Hey Mama, it was really good. I met all of my classmates and most of them are really nice. I hung out with some of them for a while." "I'm so glad you already made friends N/N!" Mom hugs me. "Sorry I didn't text you to tell you that I was hanging out with my friends." I say as I hug her back.
"It's alright just please do that in the future ok?" "Ok." Mom sits me down on the couch and looks at me. "Ok now tell me all about it." I laugh and start telling her.

Marinette and Alya met me outside my house just like yesterday. I smile as I walk toward my friends. "Hey people."
"Hey girl." "Hey Y/N." They greet me as I walk up. "What's up?" I ask them. "Just telling Marinette about what Lila did." (Here we go.) I think.
"What did she do?" "She said she hung out with ladybug! Actually hung out with her!" "I've been telling her that Lila couldn't possibly have hung out with Ladybug yesterday but she won't listen." Alya gives Marinette a look. "Well Ladybug is her friend right? So they would hang out right?"
(How in the world does she believe this?) "Listen I don't really think Lila would hang out with a superhero." I say calmly. "I mean, if she was Ladybug's friend then wouldn't we see them together? Or wouldn't the knews have seen something?" Marinette throws me a greatful look.
We continue to argue the logic of weather or not Lila actually knows and is friends with Ladybug as we walk to school. When we get there we walk inside and go to our classroom. When we walk in, we see Lila herself being bombarded with questions by almost everyone in the class.
"What did you guys do?" "What's she like when she's not saving Paris?" "Do you know who she is?" And on and on. "Great." Marinette mutters beside me while Alya runs over to talk to Lila. I see Adrien standing off to the side not talking to anyone so I nudge Marinette.
"What?" "Talk to him." She looks at me for a second, then goes over. I see her start to talk to him and they start up a conversation. Soon they're laughing about something that one of them said and I'm smiling to myself.
"I told you you could do it." I whisper under my breath. I feel someone's gaze on me and look up. I see Lila glaring at me. "Lila? Are you alright?" Max asks her which reminds her that she's not alone. "Oh yeah, it's just that my temporary blindness happened again for a second. I'm fine now don't worry."
"Oh no Lila do you need to go to the Nurse?" Rose asks worriedly. "No no I'm fine. I just want to talk to Y/N for a minute. Y/N? Will you come with me for a second?" She smiles sweetly at me and I return the smile. "Sure Lila." She walks toward the door of the classroom and I follow her.
When we get out in to the hallway she turns to me.
