Chapter 8

Y/N's POV
The next morning I wake up to the new sound of my alarm. I've decided to change it every so often so I won't end up hating my favorite songs. I yawn and stretch, closing my eyes as I do so. Luna looks up at me and yawns as well.
"Why in the world are you waking up so early!" She whines. "Because school." I say, getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom to get ready. "Hey what do you like to eat anyway?" I ask as I brush my H/L H/C hair. Luna's eyes light up and she smiles. "I like a lot of things, but my favorite thing is grapes!" She exclaims.
"K that's good to know." I say, then start to hum along to the next song my phone plays as I continue getting ready. After I'm finished I head downstairs for food, still humming to myself. Luna stayed upstairs so my mom wouldn't see her, we'd talked about that stuff last night.
"Hey Honey, you seam to be in a good mood today." Mom kisses my forehead. "Because music." I say, laughing a little as I sit down. "This weekend can I come help you in the store a little?" Mom smiles. "Sure, you're ready to be surrounded by music again?" "Yes please." I say and smile as I take a bight of my food.
My mom owns a music store, she loves music as much as I do. When I came to visit before I'd always help in there and I loved it. I'm really glad I can do it whenever now.
I finish my breakfast and go back upstairs for my stuff. I open a little compartment in my bag and gesture for Luna to go inside. She nods, smiles and slips inside. I carefully swing my bag on to my shoulder, knowing I'll have to be gentle since Luna is inside, then go back downstairs and out the door. "Bye Mom!" I call over my shoulder as I leave.
I only see Alya outside today. "Hey Lya, where's Mari?" I ask as I walk up. Alya smiles at me. "Hey girl, she overslept again." We both laugh as we start to walk. "Anything interesting happen yesterday?" She asks me.
I think about anything I can tell her. (Well, I received a magical jewel that comes with a tiny wolf kwami who can help me turn in to a superhero, you know, the usual.) I think about that and laugh a little. (I can't tell her that, so what can I say?) I remember my talk with Lila. (That will due.)
"Well Lila is kind of ticked at me." "Really? Why?" "Because she likes Adrien and doesn't like that I'm talking to him and becoming his friend." Alya gives me a look, not sure if she believes me. "That doesn't sound like her." I sigh a little, knowing she won't believe me.
"Of course not." I say sadly. "Well it doesn't, Lila isn't like that! Plus she doesn't like Adrien like that, she thinks Marinette and him would be a cute couple." "Ok Alya, I'm wrong, I get it. I probably misunderstood her yesterday or something."
Alya nods and starts telling me about how she managed to talk to Ladybug after she and Cat Noir defeated an akuma. "It was so awesome! I got to ask her questions again and she actually answered some of them for once since she had some time!" "That's really cool Lya!" I exclaim, happy for my friend and also thinking about how soon I'd be able to fight with Ladybug and Cat Noir.
(Crap what if Alya tries to ask me questions too?) I wonder as she continues talking. We finally get to school and Marinette runs up. "I'm here!" She cries, slowing to a stop in front of us and leaning over, panting. "I'm not late!"
"Hey Mari you good?" I ask, looking with concern at my friend. "Yeah I'm fine." She sighs, straitening up and smiling at us. "Hey girl." Alya gives Marinette a hug. "I'm glad you're not late for once but we should probably go inside so we really aren't late." We all agree, laughing, and go in the doors.
We get in to the classroom and I immediately hear, "Y/N!" (Here it comes.) I think, turning to see Lila running toward me. She throws her arms around me and hugs me tightly. "I'm sooo sorry about yesterday! I'm taking medicine for one of my diseases and it makes me say and do things that I normally wouldn't. Please forgive me!"
(And she saves herself again.) I think, resigning myself to having to deal with this already. "It's ok Lila, I know you didn't mean it." I pull back and smile at her. She smiles back and laughs. "I'm sooo glad we're cool now." She says happily.
"Yeah me too." I say as we head to our seats. Alya comes over and sits on my desk. "Hey I'm sorry I didn't believe you earlier." She says sheepishly. I smile up at her. "It's cool Lya." She smiles, nods and goes back to her seat to talk to Marinette.
I'm about to pull out my headphones to listen to music until the bell but someone taps my shoulder. I look up to see Juleka in front of me. "Hey Juleka what's up?" I greet my friend. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over for a while after school." She asks quietly.
"Sure I'd like that. What time do you want me to come over?" "You can just come with me after school, Rose is coming too by the way." "Ok sure." I say, happy to be spending time with my friends. Juleka gives me one of her small smiles and heads back to her seat. I see Rose smile at me as well.
"It's sooo great that you already made friends here." Lila says from next to me as the bell rings. "Yeah," I smile to myself. "It really is."

After school I meet up with Juleka and Rose outside the school and walk to Juleka's house. I'm making them laugh as I tell them about some memes I saw on my phone earlier. "Have you seen the Cat Noir memes?" Rose asks me.
I shake my head. "Not yet. I don't usually look at memes, Alya sent me the ones I'm showing you." "Here." Juleka shows me her phone as we keep walking. I look at the meme and start laughing. "Wow he really is a meme!" I exclaim which makes them join in my laughter.
We get to Juleka's place and go inside. Juleka goes to Luka's room with us following. She looks in at him. "Hey I'm home and I brought Rose and Y/N." He looks up at us in the doorway and smiles at me. "Hey."
I feel my cheeks heat up a little as I smile back. "Hay Luka." I say and Rose nudges me for some reason. "Ok so we'll be in my room." Juleka says and turns to head toward her room. "See you later." Luka says and looks back down at his guitar which is on his lap.
I feel like I kind of want to stay and talk to him but I don't and just follow Juleka for now. We go in to her room and sit on her bed to watch shows on her computer. After a while I remember we got an assignment today and I wanted to finish it tonight.
I get up and tell my friends this. "But it's due next week!" Rose exclaims, throwing her head back. "Yeah but I want to get it done now." I say, laughing a little. "Ok see you tomorrow." Juleka says as she walks me to the door. "Yeah see you tomorrow." I say then call goodbye to Rose.
As I walk out of the house I hear someone follow me. I turn to see Luka behind me. "Oh hey." I say, smiling at him. "Hi." He says, falling in to step beside me. "Where are you going?" I ask him. "I have to get some stuff from the store." He answers, causing me to remember that I have to get grapes for Luna.
"Oh thanks for reminding me, I have to pick up something too." I say, glad I remembered. "In that case, want to walk together?" He asks me with a smile. I nod. "Sure."
We start walking and I wonder if I should say something. I like talking to Luka and we'd talked a lot more at lunch or before school and stuff so I was used to talking with him but sometimes I wondered if he liked talking to me, I really hoped he did.
"You seam happier today than when I saw you yesterday." Luka says softly. "Yeah I'm a lot better now, thanks for helping me yesterday by the way." I smile at him. He smiles back and I get lost in those blue eyes for a second. "Do you like it here?" He asks me another question.
"Yeah I really do." I smile a little but then it fades. "I just really miss singing." I say wistfully. "I mean, I sing all the time when I'm alone but I can't sing for people." He looks at me as if he wants to say something, but then he stops.
"What?" I ask him, raising my eyebrows. "Nothing." He says. "Luka, you realize that now I'll be wondering what you were about to say and it will drive me crazy?" "It's nothing." He says, smiling a little. "Yup I'm going to go crazy just because you won't tell me what you were going to say!" I joke, making him laugh.
"Ok ok, I was just going to say that ..."

Holy freaking crap it feels amazing to be done with finals! I got out of school for Winter Break yesterday! Since I'll have more time now I'll be able to write more chapters for you guys. I'm also going to be updating some of my other books as well so check them out if you want, I'm really proud of their plots as well. :)
