A Musical Duet, Luka X Reader

Chapter 13

Y/N's POV
"Pound it!"
I smile at Cat Noir and Ladybug, we'd just finished defeating yet another one of Hawkmoth's akuma's. As I look at the two superheroes, I think again about how familiar they look. (They even act like Marinette and Adrien sometimes.) I think, remembering things I'd noticed, similarities between my two friends and these heroes.
Our jewels flashed, reminding us that we didn't have much time before we changed back. "We should probably go." Ladybug says and Cat Noir nods. "Yeah, I don't think either of you could take seeing me without my mask." He gives Ladybug a wink and she sighs. I laugh and wave to them as I run off.
(They're even attracted to each other, just like Marinette and Adrien.) I think as I find a place to hide so I can transform back. I slip in to an alley and press my back against the wall.
"Luna, good night." I say softly. Bright light surrounds me and when it fades I look down to see I'm in my normal clothes. Luna smiles at me as I reach in to my bag and hand her some grapes.
"You did well as usual." She says, taking the grapes gratefully and eating one. "Thanks Luna." I say, sliding down to sit on the ground of the alley and leaning my head back against the wall.
It had been a week or so since we'd all hung out. Lila hadn't been to school and those of us who saw through her lies were pretty happy about it. I'd helped Ladybug and Cat Noir a couple more times and I'm starting to get the hang of it, well, kind of. I pull out my phone to see a lot of texts from my friends.
I look through and notice that Marinette's texts only started a couple minutes ago, right after I left Ladybug. (It could be a coincidence.) I try to tell myself but that nagging feeling remains.
I look at all the other messages, saying where they were and asking where I was and if I was ok. Some of us had been hanging out so I decided to head back to where we'd been before the akuma attacked.
I send my friends a message telling them I'm ok and that I'm coming back now. I get up and look down at Luna. "You good?" I ask her. She nods and flies in to my bag. "Hey Luna? I have a question."
"Yes Y/N?" "Do you know who Ladybug and Cat Noir are?" "Yes Y/N, but I cannot tell you." "I know." I sigh a little. "I was just wondering because some things have been bothering me." "You can trust them Y/N." "I know I can but I still wonder sometimes about who they are."
"That is understandable seeing as you work with them sometimes. I believe they think the same about you sometimes." "Yeah I guess they'd be curious about who I am as well." I say, begining to walk out of the alley. "I wonder if they ever think about each other's identities."
"I think so, especially Cat Noir." I laugh a little as I think about it. "Of course! With his crush on Ladybug it probably drives him crazy that he doesn't know who she is." I get out of the alley and turn, heading back to where I was before everything started.
Me and Luna stop talking for now since people would probably stare if I started talking to myself. I get back to the park that we were at and immediately see Marinette and Alya running toward me. They tackle me in a hug, almost making me fall over. "We were so worried! We didn't know where you went!" Alya exclaims, pulling back to look at me.
"Now both of you are running off when there's an akuma!" Alya glares at me and Marinette. We look down. "Sorry." I say. "You guys really worry me sometimes." She says. "We know." Marinette says, laughing a little.
The rest of our friends come over, Adrien, Nino, Luka, Juleka and Rose. My eyes move over everyone, making sure that none of them got hurt or anything before remembering that even if they did Ladybug sets everything right afterward so they're all ok. "Where did you go?" Rose asks me. I notice Luka looking worriedly at me from behind his sister where he's talking to Adrien and Nino.
"Just got lost in the crowd." I answer since a lot of people had started running around when the akuma appeared and it's pretty possible that I could have gotten lost in the crowd so it's a good story to use. That's the one part I don't like about being a superhero, I have to lie to my friends.
"You ok?" Juleka asks me and I nod, smiling reassuringly. "Yeah I'm good. How about you guys?" "We're all fine." Adrien answers. I feel my phone vibrate and reach in to my bag for it. I pull it out and read the text my mom sent me.
Mom: Hey Honey you still want to help me out in the store today?
Y/N: Yeah sorry I'm with my friends. I was going to come sooner but the akuma thing kind of distracted me. I'll be there soon.
Mom: Ok.
I put my phone back in my bag and look up at my friends. "Sorry guys I've gotta go." "Where are you going?" Luka asks me. "I'm going to help my mom out in the store today." I say, waving as I start to run to my mom's store.

I open the door to my mom's store and smile. I look around at all the CD's and feel happy and sad at the same time. (The people who made these get to do what they want.) I think, looking at a shelf of CD's from one of my favorite artists.
"Hey N/N." Mom's voice calls out and I turn to see her behind the counter. "Hey Mama." I say, smiling as I walk over to her. "You ready to work?" She asks me with a smile. I nod.
"What do you want me to do?" "Well I have some paperwork to do so I was wondering if you'd man the counter while I take care of that." "Sure." I say, sitting down in the chair Mom keeps behind the counter. "Thanks for helping me Sweetheart." Mom says as she goes to her office in back.
I smile as I lean back in the chair. "No problem!" I call to her. For a while, all I have to do is sit since even though there are some people in the store they're not checking out yet or anything.
After a while I notice a guy from my school looking at a shelf of headphones. He's not in my class but I've seen him around. His eyes flick to me and stay there. I'm not sure what he's doing or why he's staring at me so I call over. "Do you need any help finding something?" He just shakes his head and smirks, still staring.
(Ok ... that's a little weird.) I think, wondering weather I should get Mom and ask her what I should do about the guy but he turns back to the shelf so I decide not to do anything yet. A girl comes up with her purchase and I focus on helping her for a minute.
She leaves and another person takes her place so I ring them up. For a while I'm distracted by people so I forget about the guy from my school. After a while I have a chance to look up and notice the guy, still here, staring at me. (He's still here? It's been like an hour or so!) Now I'm getting weirded out.
He looks down at his phone and reads something. He looks back at me for a second, then down at his phone again. (What is this guy doing? Am I being talked about or something?) I think, unsure of what to do. The door opens and I see a familiar blue eyed boy come in. He sees me and smiles. I feel myself relax a little.
He goes over to a shelf, looks for a second, and grabs a CD and brings it to the counter. He smiles at me again but notices me looking behind him at the other guy worriedly. "What's wrong?" He asks in a low voice. "There's a guy over there that's been here for an hour and keeps staring at me."
Luka turns and glares at the guy who looks embarrassed now. He walks over and says something to the guy. The guy answers something and pushes past Luka and heads out the door. Luka returns to me and smiles reassuringly.
"Don't worry from what he said it was some kind of prank or something, a creepy one, but a prank." He glares at the door that the guy just left through. "Thanks Luka." I smile at him. He smiles at me as he hands me the CD.
I tell him how much it is and he hands me the money for it, our fingers touching as he does. I feel my cheeks get warm. I look back at Luka and see that he seams to want to say something, but is trying to figure out how to say it.
"Hey are you ok?" I ask him. "Yeah I'm fine. I just wanted to ask you something." He says, looking down for a second. "What is it?" I ask curiously.
"Well ..."
A/N: Hello fellow humans I has returned with another chapter!
I wonder what Luka was going to say. Well actually I know what he's going to say, but you guys will have to wait for the next chapter to find out. Also, what do you think that guy was doing? Was it a prank like he said or something else? You'll find out at some point. :)
Sorry I didn't update much this week I had some stuff going on. Also I was figuring out how I wanted this chapter to go.
