So I'm done getting ready and he's coming to pick me up in 10 minutes, my outfit was casual gives you the impression that I tried not to impress him and not looking to shitty either, you get the idea. I had a mom's jeans on with a thin leggings under, because let me tell you Winnipeg ain't a joke when it comes to winter. And I put on a simple plain white shirt, and one of these fluffy coat trending at the moment, outside was around minus five degrees Celsius.

I talked to Aiko about this and she was giving me some advices and how careful I should be around him and all that, and I came to realize that there are a lot of things that I don't know about him, aside from his name, his major and... damn not even his age! How did I not figure this out? As we were talking on the phone, it also came to my mind that he's avoiding talking about his family whenever I brush the subject. I really miss Aiko right now, being so far apart just hit me while talking to her on the phone. Mindy called me earlier too, asking how things were doing on my side, and if I feel lonely I could always FaceTime her anytime.

After the make-out session the other night, he and I watched some shows on Netflix, he talked about his life in high school when he met Mindy and Auden, which he told me that he wasn't friendly towards Sam but they became bros', as he said it, and since then they've been his only friends. He wanted to sleep the night in my room, so I gave him a blanket and my Teddy bear as a pillow, then he slept on the fluffy carpet that I bought when I moved in. Well, I wouldn't give up my bed either nor let him sleep with me on the same bed.

Anyway, he texted me that he's waiting down stairs, so I take my bag and leave. In the car as he drive off campus and I buckle my seat belt, I ask him what were we going to do in this freezing cold winter afternoon.

"To be honest I have three options, but I would like to hear yours." He told me.

"Mhm, tell me what you got in mind and I'll see if I like it or not." I suggested.

"I was thinking Swiss Chalet, Cheese Cake Factory and at last movie theater. Basically anywhere warm enough to stay for a bit, what do you think."

"Boy that's fine, let's go!" I smiled at him.

"So um, why did you come to Canada earlier than expected?" We were eating at Swiss Chalet, and I for intense ordered some ribs with mashed potato, some greens with a soda on the side.

"To avoid some family drama and because I missed you." He winked at me while stuffing his mouth with a small portion of pasta.

"You're not close to them are you?" I ignored his stupidness.

"I- no, a tragedy happened and here we are." I think I'm making him lose appetite, so I'll stop for now. "How old are you then?"

"23, next 4th of July I'll be 24." He was smiling and seems like he was waiting for something. Suddenly it clicked, I started laughing when I got it.

"A true American, nice!"

We finished our dinner and stay for a while, we didn't eat much, well I didn't eat much so I can leave some space for what's coming, and here we are at the Cheese Cake Factory. We been sitting here for almost an hour and all we're doing is to gossip about people around us. For example, earlier there was that blonde mom with her five children, all boys, and she was truly struggling with these kids. Daniel was really funny with that woman, what he was doing was speaking for the woman with a high pitched voice, because she was a bit far from us, so he was making it look like a live TV show. I swear my abs popped out by now, because he was really funny. It was time for us to go to the movies.
