When Salvatore got home, she decided to look for some of the news reports Harrison and Johnathan were talking about. She knew she'd have to dig deep considering it's unspokenly illegal to have any data on it for the public use. But there had to be people who were wondering about it like them. There was no way people couldn't question the legitimacy of the whole thing. She managed to find a video of the live coverage. She turned the volume up so she could hear the first hand account from the reporter. It switched from her standing as close as she could before the police had her cut off to an overhead view. The place was huge, and every single bit of it was on fire. There was no way that could've happened without someone setting it on fire. "We're here at the Coventry Estate giving you live feed of the fire that's ferociously set over the eight thousand and five hundred square foot mansion. As of now, the fire is so violent that no one has been able to step foot inside, and no one has been reported to have stepped foot outside. The fire has been going on for an estimated hour already. Oh no—" The woman turned when they heard a large crash. The roof was caving in on the third floor. You could audibly hear the creaking as the second floor attempted to hold all the weight on its already withering structure. It wouldn't be long before it caved in, too. Only a matter of minutes. "Somethings keeping that fire going, but we won't be able to find out until the firefighters are able to detain the fire and the arsonists are able to go inside and have a look at exactly what started this fire in the first place. Here's Deputy Johnson. What do you think caused this fire?"
"I have no idea, Miss. I've never seen anything like this before in my life. The way the fire started all throughout the place all at once makes me think there was undoubtedly foul play involved, but I can't make an official statement until we detain this fire and get a look inside." He told her. She nodded, a genuine sad expression on her face. This was terrible. All the sudden, there was another loud crash. The third floor had caved in on the second. Again, it would only be a matter of seconds before the second floor caved in on the first and the whole place would be ashes.
"Deputy Johnson," The woman grabbed his attention again. "Has there been any survivors? Anyone to escape that monstrous fire?"
"As of this moment, no."
"So, it's assumed that all of the Coventry's maids, detail, help, they're all gone? And the Coventry's themselves? Even Sebastian?" She asked quickly. He gave her a hesitant look.
"Well, I'm still trying to have hope, ma'am." He told her. She nodded, agreeing with him. She herself just wanted to know what was going on. This whole thing was insane and didn't seem right. There was definitely something fishy going on. The camera angle changed to the overhead view.
"As you can see, the fires have not died down one bit despite our courageous firefighters efforts to put it out." She paused. "There's something— There's someone! There's someone running out! Zoom in!"
Salvatore chewed her lip as she winced, seeing Sebastian jumping out of the first floor window and running as far away from the house as he could. Just as he did, the house finally collapsed in on itself. He fell onto the ground and just laid there, feeling the iciness to his hot skin. "Is that... Mr. Coventry?"
"I think it's Sebastian!" The woman replied to the Deputy. He began taking off in Sebastian's direction. The woman tried to follow, but respectfully didn't get too close. From there, Salvatore saw the man help Sebastian up. He was asking him question upon question, but Sebastian refused to answer. She could barely make out what he said.
"Cut it. Turn it all off. I don't want one word of this breathed out to anyone. All of the live feed, all the news reports, stop it all. I don't care how you do it or what you have to do. Stop it all." The live news feed cut right there. It seems Sebastian's always had a deep influence on the world, no matter what it is he wants.
