SLIGHT FLUFF
YOUR POV
"You sure you're fine to go to the Christmas party tomorrow? We can stay at home." Tom said, holding your hair as you threw up. You lifted your head from the toilet and leaned back against the wall.

"I'm fine Tom, I probably got food poisoning from Wednesday's take-out." You state. He squats in front of you and places his hand on your forehead.

"Well you're not hot so it's not a fever, " He sighs. "Maybe you're right but I think we should go to the hospital."

"Not tonight honey okay? I'm tired and I just want to sleep." You say reaching your hand out for him. He takes it and helps you to stand on your feet.

"Let's rest darlin' but first thing tomorrow we're going to the hospital okay?" You nod as the two of you make your way to the bedroom. Tom helps you to lay in the bed, kisses the top of your head, then goes downstairs to get you a glass of water.

While he was gone you couldn't stop but think to yourself, you knew you didn't have food poisoning. You had been throwing up for at least a week straight and it was never fully brought you your attention that something was wrong. You grabbed your phone on the nightstand and search for Reasons for vomiting.

You hit the search icon and scroll down a little till you see a Health Conditions Related To This Search headline. You swipe and swipe until you see one that is related to your current situation. Morning Sickness: A common name for nausea and vomiting caused by pregnancy. Your eyes went wide at the realization. This couldn't be possible, right?

You clear the search bar then type in Symptoms of pregnancy and hit the search icon again. Mood swings, food cravings, morning sickness, fatigue, and headaches. The list went on and on but the second you realized that you had a majority of these symptoms occurring within the last week, you couldn't hold in your shock.

The wooden floor creaked and it signaled that Tom was coming back. You placed the phone back on the nightstand and sat up. Tom walked in and handed you the ice-cold glass of water, then continued to sit next to you.

"You alright love?" He asked you and you nod your head taking a sip of all of the water.

"Thank you." You tell him to place the cup on the nightstand and sliding under the covers. He does the same and pulls you close to him. He wraps his hands around your waist and places his face in the crook of your neck. You fall asleep shortly after, anticipating tomorrow.

"Mrs. (Y/N) Holland?" The doctor asks as she steps into the waiting room. You get up ready to go into the room with the doctor. Tom gets up and you quickly turn to face him.

"Can I go in by myself?" You ask not wanting him to know if you were pregnant or not. He looks at you with the uttermost concern but he nods. You follow the doctor into the room and she sits you down.

"So, can you tell me what's wrong?" She asks you and takes out an ophthalmoscope to check your eyes.

"Well, I've been throwing up a lot lately and not feeling like myself. I've been having mood swings, food cravings, morning sickness, fatigue, and headaches." She stops and takes out a Stethoscope to listen to your heart. You take a deep breath in and then another one out. "I think I'm pregnant." You blurt out.

She chuckles. "I thought that was obvious." She stated simply. "I'll run a Qualitative hCG test to make sure though." She steps back and opens a cabinet appearing to look for something. She finally finds it and hands it to you.

"A pregnancy test." You lightly chuckled. "Probably should have done this before right?" She nods then hands you a cup as well.

"You know how this goes right? Just pee in the cup and you can pee on the stick too if you want but we only need the cup sample." You get up and head into the bathroom to do your business. After, she told you it would take a couple of minutes for the results to come back so you went back to the waiting room. Tom smiled at you as you sat down next to him.
