YOUR POV
It shouldn't have happened but it did. You were there at the funeral and it hurt to know that he was just gone, Tony Stark was dead. He saved you, years ago from Loki when he gained access to the Tesseract. Since then he was determined to keep an eye on you and you let him due to the fact that you wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for him. Except now, he couldn't keep an eye on you and it left a big hole in your heart.
Everyone around you was hurt, including yourself, but no one was more hurt than your boyfriend Peter. He took it hard, very very hard. Tony was like a father figure to him and a role model at that. Peter wanted to be just like him and now, he was just gone as if he vanished from the face of the earth. A piece of him missing from all of our hearts.
A month had passed and you wouldn't say you got over it but it was much easier to talk about him. However, Peter was broken and he was so broken that he wasn't himself anymore. He stayed locked in his room for days until it turned into weeks, he wouldn't talk to you or Aunt May, he wouldn't even eat, and worse of all he would lash out. The last time you tried to talk to him he slammed his door in your face and yelled at you. It was so unlike him.
You would call him multiple times just to check in but he never picked up, you'd leave voice mails for him telling him about your day but you knew he never played it. It caused you to hurt too and before you knew it, you had another whole in your heart.
When you woke up this morning you were determined to talk to Peter. You wanted him to know it was okay and that he was not alone during this time of his life. As you walked up to the apartment building your hands started to shake due to nervousness. You knew you shouldn't have been nervous but you couldn't help it.
You knocked on the front door with shaking hands and Aunt May opened it for you. She knew you would be coming over to talk to Peter and had made him his favorite dessert so you could at least try to get him to eat.
"He hasn't eaten in two days... I just thought maybe he would try to eat if you came, " she told you as she handed you the plate with Cherry Pie on it. "I know he should be eating an actual meal first but-"
"Yeah, I know. He does love his cherry pie," you say and then walk towards his room. You stand in front of his door, the pie in your hand, still shaking. Due to his Spidey Sense, he knew you were standing behind the door. You raise your hand and knock on the door softly.
"Pete? It's me. I brought you some cherry pie if you're hungry." He's silent and the door doesn't open. You knew there was a high chance he wouldn't reply but you weren't done trying yet. You place the pie down on the floor and sit in front of the door.
"I missed you at school yesterday. I didn't have a lab partner for Chemistry so I had to partner up with Flash and you know how much I can't stand him. He mixed up the chemicals and we had to evacuate the lab because of the smoke he caused." You chuckle at the memory.
"You missed lunch too, Ned and MJ got into this argument about who was the better 'nerd', and then they just started asking each other questions trying to see who was the smartest. In the end, MJ won and Ned was so furious that he didn't talk to her for the whole day, " he doesn't say anything or even makes any movement. You sigh this time wishing he would reply to you.
"Can you say something, anything at all?" you ask and he still doesn't reply. You sit leaning your head back against the door. He is silent and you knew this wasn't going anywhere. He probably felt as if he was alone right now.
Of course, you and Aunt May were there for him, along with all his other friends, the Avengers, and even Happy, but he felt as if no one could truly understand him. Tony and Peter had a connection like no other and you knew that's why it was hurting him more than anyone else.
