(Y/N)'s POV
Even from the backstage, I could already hear the merry shouts of the people outside. As I scrolled through my phone, I spotted a viral video of two girls singing one of my songs. I smiled as I got ready to click it, but a shout of "(Y/N), you need to go to the stage now!" made me stand up immediately and turn off my phone.
"Coming!" I called over my shoulder as I took a quick glance of myself from the mirror staring back at me. I wore a light pink dress with a simple design of dandelions and my hair was tied up into a bun. Running through the backstage, I grabbed a mic and entered the main stage where the shouts of the crowd greeted me for the thousandth time. Smiling as I held the mic to my lips, I began to sing.

All alone in the dark

Trying to stop my
Shaking hands
I could hear my heart beating out of my chest, could feel the adrenaline flow through my veins. Everyone around me was singing along, their voices so soothing it was like angels were surrounding me.
My lips were shut
Not a single word spilling out
But inside my mind
I longed to say
Times like these are my favorite. Times were I can just sing and let go, times were I can be free and escape. The crowd may not be on the stage with me, but it sure felt like they were right behind me, giving me more and more confidence as the song went on.

I sang and the crowd sang along with me.
It was perfect.
Like a bird roaming the wide, blue sky, I truly felt like I was flying.
