"Come on honey, were gonna be late!"
Grae shouted from the bottom of the staircase. He impatiently tapped his foot on the hardwood floor of his kitchen, where he'd been standing for almost ten minutes waiting for the six year old, Alice to make her appearance and get out of the house, to their church. It was eight in the morning and Sunday school started at eight thirty. Grae sighed in misery. Not long after, Alice descended the stairs in the white dress and silver sandals Grae had laid out for her. Her hair was tied up in a neat bun and to top it all off was the set of pearls her mother had gotten her for her birthday. That was the only happy memory she had of her mother before she died. Grae smiled fondly at the little girl.
"Right sweetness, let's go!" grae said a little too enthusiastically. Not long, they were out the door and in the car.
"What song shall it be?" Grae asked. He always liked letting his niece pick a song because it gave him a sense of her likes and dislikes in song. Alice looked at Grae with a smirk.
"once upon a time" she said devilishly. Grae smirked as well.
"Good choice. To hell with that sacred church music this early I the morning. We aint old ladies."
"Yeah" she egged on. Grae connected his phone to the sound system and put their song on full volume. Thereafter, they pulled away, on their way to church.
"Mo money, I want yo money, money"
"Here we go" Grae said, turning the corner.
"Once upon a time not long ago I was a hoe" Grae couldn't resist the urge to sing with his darling child. Beside, its his life story isn't it? Once he got to the corner, he saw his favorite beggar, bubbles.
She heard the song and immediately she walked to the middle of the four way and started stiff ass twerking. Grae rolled down the window and stuck his head out the window.
"Yasss bubbles!!!" Grae shouted, turning up the volume. He got out of the car, only to join bubbles, twerking in the road.
People started getting out of their cars as well, dancing in the middle of the road.
"Bitch yesss." Bubbles shouted, slut dropping to the tar, coming back up. Alice found her way to her uncle, dancing with him.
"You're gonna give me a dollar for dancing like this?" she asked, still twerking with the brunette in the road.
"Definitely not." Grae said nonchalantly.
"but why? You never give me money" she whined." I did this just for the money"
"bitch you were gonna do this any way" Grae deadpanned.
"true that" she replied
"Yasss Grae, you twerk with that stiff ass" she shouted.
"Of course bish" Grae said, never ceasing to twerk. Stiff ass or not. The song came to an end and everyone went back to their cars, so did Alice and Grae. Alice leaned over the driver's seat and hugged Grae from the back, making him smile.
"Uncle Grae, you're so crazy" she sighed
"You bet I am. Now sit your ass back down on that seat and let's get back to church" The child obediently sat back down on her seat and off to church they were.
"And one more thing" Grae said sternly, looking through the rear view mirror.
"Call me uncle again and ill bitch slap you. I'm not an ancient relic, I'm 17. I just twerked in the fucking road for gods sake.
