Zachary walked up the schools road, deep in thought about yesterdays order of events. In the fourteen years that the knew each other, that was the biggest fight they had and to say that he felt bad, was an understatement. He felt awful, terrible.
As he neared the entrance of the school, his eyes fell on a familiar car approaching the gate. Immediately, he lowered his head. He was ashamed at the way he spoke to Grae but in essence, what he said was the truth ?
Right?
Urg!
He hated his thoughts. He hated his mouth. He hated everything about himself at the moment. He was a total ass. As if the heavens agreed with him, a loud bang of thunder roared through the sky, startling him a bit. Not long after, a light drizzle made its way down to the earth. Zachary hurried across the parking lot, to prevent getting soaked in the rain.
Once he got to the top of the stairs, he was met with a worried Chelsea, looking off into the parking lot with her hands wrapped around her waist. Zachary went and stood by her side.
"Morning" he greeted. She didn't reply. "You know, greeting is not a must but greeting back is" he said but still, no dice. She still kept looking across the wet, vacant parking lot.
"He's been sitting in the parking lot for more than ten minutes with his head on the steering wheel. Something's wrong" she said absentmindedly.
" what makes you think somethings wrong? " Zachary asked nervously.
"I sent him countless messages yesterday and he didn't reply and I called him but his phone went straight to voicemail. Something's up. I can feel it." She turned back around and looked across the parking lot once more.
Should he tell Chelsea what he said to Grae that made him that upset? Should she understand it from his point of view? Would she? She probably would not. Why? Because she and Grae are joined by the hip. They're too close. And plus, even he thought what a jerk he was when all those words came out of his mouth. He decided that it would be best for the story to come out of graes mouth when he was ready.
Just then, graes car door opened and he got out, opening his big black umbrella to shield him from the rain. Zachary frowned a little at his appearance. His clothes were so... Dull. From a distance he could see that his skin looked paler. He looked sick.
Zachary's eyes followed the boys movements as he made his way up the stairs. Once he was all the way up the stairs, he close this umbrella and shook off all the excess rain droplets.
Once his face was exposed from the umbrella, Zachary could see the boy properly. What he saw, made his heart tremor with guilt. He was as pale as a blanket. His cheeks were red, as well as his nose and eyes. His lips were turning blue. Is he sick? Had he been crying?
Chelsea hurriedly rushed to the brunettes side and took a hold of his shoulders.
"Grae? What's wrong, you look like a mess" Chelsea said softly. Grae smile lopsidedly. "Chelsea I'm fine" he said.
Chelsea frowned even more." Grae, look at you. You're not fine. What's wrong? I called you last night and I left you countless messages-"
"I said I'm fine~ " Grae mumbled annoyedly.
"Grae, you know you can tell me anything, what's wrong? I'm here for you if you wanna-"
"Chelsea I said I'm fine! Quit poking deeper into nothing, please!" he shouted, on the verge of tears. His eyes were all glossed up. Chelsea was too shocked to even reply to that.
