Samon knocked on the bars of your cell. You looked up from reading (favorite book). "Time for lunch (y/n)" You nodded and got up, slipping on the over-sized hoodie and the black mask you used to hide your face. Swallowing the two small, white pills, you walked out of the cell and began making your way to the lunch room. Samon kept pace with you. "So, (y/n)... I've made a decision that you may not like, but it'll be good for you. It was very difficult to make, but you've just been so distant and-" "What is it?" You asked nervously. You knew what direction this was going in. You stayed in your cell alone, you ate alone, and you trained alone in a completely separate training ground. "I'm moving you to cell 8" Though you knew this was going to happen eventually, you still weren't prepared. "W-what!?" You said, stopping in the middle of the hall. He stopped with you. "You've been alone for way too long. When's the last time you had an actual conversation with another person?" "I'm talking to you right now, aren't I?" He sighed, "With someone other than me. You can't just stay by yourself the whole time, (y/n)." You sighed, "I know. Who am I staying with?" He smiled at the fact that you weren't putting up a fight. "Come, I'll show you" You trailed behind him timidly as he led you to the lunch room. "Get your plate then come sit next to me." You nodded. It wasn't unusual for you to sit at the guard table as you did so often. Once you had gotten your plate you sat next to him as promised. "You see those three over there" You looked in the direction he was looking but couldn't quite pick out the three he was talking about. "Which ones?" "The one with a talisman, the one with the long black hair, and the one with the purple jumpsuit." You found them and studied them for a bit. The one with the talisman punched the one in the purple in the stomach. They looked to be an odd group. "He's a Qigongist?" He nodded, "A good one, too. Maybe you could possibly-" "You know I don't spar with people." He sighed, "Yes, I know. Maybe one day." You chuckled, rolling your eyes, "Sure." You finished eating and pulled up your mask, dumping your plate and waving to Samon as you walked away. Inmates were allowed to train after lunch. While everyone else went to the training ground together, you made your way to yours. It was made for a Qigong practicer. You walked and shut the doors behind you. You took in a deep breath and prepared for your training.
(Timeskip till the end of training)
You took a quick shower and walked back to your cell knowin that you would have to pack up your things. You didn't have that much. Just a few pairs of ill-fitting clothes, undergarments, oversized hoodies, toiletries, hair things, extra masks along with a few more random things. You quickly put them in a bag and sat on the ground, waiting for Samon to take you to the cell. You couldn't help but be incredibly nervous. Most of your life was spent in solitude so you weren't used to talking or being with others. You were ripped out of your thoughts as you heard a knock at your door. Slinging your bag over your shoulder, you walked to the door as Samon opened it. "Ready?" "Nope." You said popping the p. He rolled his eyes and started walking. You followed behind him weary of what was to come. "There's no need to worry, they're not bad. Just try to be sociable." He pleaded. You chuckled at this. "What's so funny?" he asked hands on hips. "Me? Be sociable? Who ever heard?" You said dramatically. He lightly slapped you on the shoulder and you laughed. "I'll try. But no promises." He nodded approvingly. "Here we are, just stay right there for a second." he said, hiding you behind the wall so the people in the cell couldn't see you. He began talking to the occupants. "You guys are getting a new cell mate. Try to be nice." He said, opening the cell for you. You didn't walk in. "Come on, go in." You crossed your stubbornly. He sighed and pulled your arm, forcing you into the doorway. He quickly closed the door behind you. You turned around and glared at him as he chuckled and walked away. You heard someone clear their throat behind you. You turned to see the one with the long black hair you saw at lunch. "So, you're the new cellmate?" You nodded timidly, shrinking back into your hoodie. You started to nervously pull at the sleeves, a nervous habit that you had picked up over the years. He offered a hand for a handshake, "Liang." You looked at his hand and back at him. You let go of your sleeve, reaching out your hand and gently gripping his and shook it. "(Y/n)." You said as he let go. "The one over there is Qi" At the mention of his name the one in purple lazily waved. "And the one meditating over there is Upa." Unlike Qi, Upa didn't even turn his head at the mention of his name. You, being the person that you are, took this as he disliked you already. 'Great' you thought to yourself. You looked around the cell. There were only three beds. You figured that your bed would be brought in later and set your bag down. "That's all you have?" Liang asked. You nodded. You pulled out (favorite book) again and sat down on the floor and started reading. Everyone went back to doing what you guessed was the norm. It was quiet, but you didn't mind. You pulled out your earbuds and phone. Of course it didn't make calls. You mainly used it to play music. Samon had given them to you since you had spent so much time in the quiet. You slipped the ear buds on and scrolled through your music. You picked (favorite song) and started reading. After a few songs had finished playing, (another song you like) cut off in the middle. You looked to your side where you phone was only to find that it wasn't there. You panicked and looked around. You looked to your left to see that Upa had it in his hands. He looked down at you with an indifferent expression. He held the phone up, "What's this?" you stood up, taking out your ear buds. "U-uh, that's my phone." He looked at again with a slightly puzzled face. He looked at your ear buds that were in your hand. He reached for them. He touched your hand which spooked you. You yelped and dropped them by accident. He raised an eyebrow at you and picked them up. He studied them, "Who gave these to you?" "Samon" "Why?" "I-umm, I was alone in my cell for a long time a-and he was concerned so he g-gave me this to help" you cursed your stuttering. He grunted and handed them back to you. "I'm Upa." "(y/n)." he nodded and started floating off to the other side of the cell, "Oh, and you might want to work on your stuttering problem." Your face erupted in blush at the fact that someone noticed. You never stuttered around Samon as you were used to him, but when you were win another person... You sank down the wall and buried your face on your hoodie. You put on your earbuds and pressed play. Pretty soon it was lights out. Your bed still hadn't been delivered so you just laid on the floor. It's not like you hadn't done it before. You're hoodie kept you warm so you fell asleep pretty quickly.
