You quickly shook your head no, "I can't let him get involved." Upa nodded solemnly. After taking a deep breath you asked, "What was his name?" Upa cocked his head to the side, "Who's name?" "The inmate that was killed. What was his name?" You asked, the guilt coming back worse than before. He was dead because of you. You should at least know his name. "We don't know." Said Upa. "What do you mean? Isn't he on record?" Upa shook his head, "Whoever that was isn't an inmate here. Samon doesn't know how he got in. They're still trying to figure that out." You then realized something. It was a trap. A trap that you had laid out numerous times before. Leave something that would catch the victim's attention out where they would find it. Leave the poisoned note. Heck, you were the one that developed it in the first place. (though you never told anyone how to make it, so they now only had a limited supply) The poison in the note wasn't always the same; sometimes it killed them, sometimes it makes them hallucinate, etc. Boss had asked you to make several different formulas for different situations. It would make them easy to take out. You realized that they could have killed you. They purposely used a hallucinogen instead of the fatal one. They wanted you alive. 'but for how long?' you wandered. You started swinging your legs out of the bed. "Where are you going?" "I'm going train." "What? No. You just got out of a coma." "And?" You said as your feet touched the ground. Upa sighed, knowing that there was no swaying you. "At least go get changed first." You nodded and went off to the cell. After you were changed, the pair of you made your way to the training ground. After you made it in, you shut the door. You then suddenly gave Upa a hug. "Wha-" "I'm sorry" He wrapped his arms around your waist, returning the hug. "Sorry for what?" he said quietly. "I lost control and I hurt you." Upa chuckled, "No one got hurt from that. It just flung us back." "Yeah but still." Upa pulled back from the hug to look at you, "I understand. Whatever that note said must have been bad." You nodded. "Well, we have to get back at Shen, right." He said, trying to get you to smile. It worked slightly, and you nodded. "Then let's go train."

(timeskip)

"Good! Come on you can do it!" You cheered as Upa conjured another spear. It was more solid this time and it looked to be a bit sharper. "Now, imagine throwing a ball." He nodded, sweat rolling down his face. "You need force to make the ball go, right?" he nodded again. "Imagine that that spear is the ball." You saw it inch forwards. Progress, but it wouldn't be good enough. "Think of the spear as something you hate. Something that you would want to hurl across the room." He struggled to think of something for a second before he thought of something. Once he thought of whatever he thought about, the spear flew across the room. It landed in the wall with a loud crack. You looked back at Upa with a big smile on your face. He looked surprised that he was able to do that. You giggled and raised your hand for a high five. He smacked your hand hard. "Great job!" You said as you both rubbed your hands. "I knew you could do it!" You said as Upa caught his breath. "Well of course I could do it." he said like he knew it all along. You rolled your eyes. "Come on, we'll train some more later. Let's go take a break." You said, looking at the time on your phone. It was almost lunch time. The both of you walked out of the training room. You pushed the guilt of lying to Samon to the back of your mind as you stood in line for food. Despite trying to hide it, Upa noticed that something was off. He nudged you in your side, "What's wrong." You looked at the ground, not saying anything. Upa remembered that you had to straight up lie to Samon earlier. "Is it about lying to him?" You looked surprised that he knew what was troubling you, but nodded nonetheless. Upa thought for a second, "Once this is all over, you can tell him. I'm sure he will forgive you." Though you weren't sure that you would see the end of this, you smiled and nodded, accepting what Upa said. After a bit of waiting in line, you both made your way to the table where Liang already sat. "(y/n), you're back" said Liang, surprised. "Mmhm." "Hey (y/n)" Said Qi walking towards the table. You gave him a big smile as he sat down, "Thanks for figuring out the antidote. You very talented." He smiled back, "No problem." "Trash." You gave him a light slap on the arm. "Be nice." Upa rolled his eyes but kept his mouth shut. "Can I ask you a few questions?" asked Qi as he picked up his chopsticks. You nodded hesitantly. You usually wouldn't answer questions, especially about what just happened as it would potentially put him in danger, but he had saved your life, so you guessed that you owed it to him. He pulled out a copy of the note and pushed it towards you, "Do you know what language this is written in? I've put it through the data base with every language and code know to us but nothing has come up." You hesitated for a second, "No. It doesn't look familiar. Sorry." He shrugged, "Oh well." He said, slipping the paper back into his pocket. Lying to another person didn't help your conscience. You guessed that you would have to make up your debt in another way. You quickly finished your noodles and went dump. Upa watched you go. "Qi, let me see that paper." Qi gave him the paper. Upa looked at it for a bit before getting up to dump too. He didn't see you in the public training ground, so he went to your training ground. He found you leaning against the wall. "Hey." He said, getting your attention. You looked up at him and gave him a small smile. He sat down by you holding the paper. He didn't want to push, but he had been wandering what the note said for the past three days. "(y/n), you know what language this is, don't you." You nodded your head. "Xieie wanted me to make another language for the people of Chénmò de shāshǒu to use. At first I made an extremely complex code. He said it wasn't good enough. So I made a completely different language. The grammar rules all weird and irregular so even if someone managed to figure out a few words, they couldn't use it to get the rest of the message. He didn't let me give it a name but I just refer to it as Cāo nǐ." You snickered at the name you gave it. "Really. '(Bleep) you'. That was the best name you could come up with." Upa deadpanned. You shrugged, "It was towards the end when I figured out what Xieie was." "Fair enough" Upa said.

Okay soooo I've missed like four posting days. Now I have to proof-read the rest of the chapters because I procrastinated doing it. Also school is crazy. I'll post four more chapters after I finish proof reading them today. I wish I could dedicate more time on here, but sadly school is  first on the list. Hopefully I'll get back on track after this. Thanks for being so patient! Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed and see you in the next chapter! So YEET.
