Upa stirred in his sleep, waking up for seemingly no reason. He slightly opened one eye. He vaguely acknowledged that your bed was empty, but the figure standing near the window took his attention. His first instinct was to go into defense mode, but years of being trained to think before taking action stopped him. Now his eyes had adjusted and he was able to see. Looking at the figure, he realized that it was very feminine. He couldn't make out much, but he could make out that the figure had (straight/wavy/curly) (y/h/l) hair and was wearing something that hid their mouth from view. The figure moved towards the window unaware of his gaze. Now that she was in the light of the moon, he could see that her hair was some shade of (y/h/c), though he couldn't be sure due to the distortive tendencies of moonlight. She looked out of the window for a little while before she squeezed her eyes closed. A tear rolled down her cheek and was absorbed by the mask. She sighed and started to walk her way over to (y/n) vacant bed. Before the figure could get there, Upa sprang up out of his bed. The girl widened her eyes out of surprise before bolting towards the door. Upa ran after her, watching as she flung open the door and ran out. Without hesitation, he ran after her, following her down the dark, twisting hallways. Every time the girl went around a corner, he lost sight of her, though she was quickly in his sight in a few seconds. He didn't know what he was going to do once he caught this mysterious person. 'I'll figure that out once I catch her' he thought to himself. The distance between them was increasing. The girl kept taking sharp turns in an effort to throw him off. It seemed to be working. Upa grumbled to himself as she took yet another turn. It took a few seconds to get to the corner, but once he turned it, he saw that it was a dead end. Only, the girl wasn't there. After whipping his head around a few times in search, he sighed. He suddenly realized that he could get in real trouble if he was caught out of the cell. He made a mental note of this situation as he walked quickly back to his cell. After walking in, he noticed vaguely that your bed was now occupied. While he was just alert due to the adrenaline pumping through his system, it had seemed to vanished. He trudged towards his bed, making up some halfhearted excuse to himself of why you had been absent from your bed a few minutes ago. He fell into his bed and pulled the covers over himself. He was quickly fast asleep. You didn't know how you had managed to keep you heavy breathing down as Upa had walked back in. You had managed to lose him during the chase. You had foolishly decided to not put your hoodie back on when you got out of your bed to clear your mind a bit. You were too deep in your thoughts to acknowledge Upa's gaze. You had almost screamed when he had jumped out of his bed and started to chase you. Your face was wet from the tears that were still making their way down your cheeks. You slowly moved your hand down from your mouth as your breathing calmed down a bit. You knew that this is what he wanted. You had seen it multiple times. You had done it multiple times. You realized that you were giving in. At this realization, you shook your head. The tears that were flowing from your eyes stopped and you wiped their remanence of them from your cheeks. You forced your chest to rise up and down evenly. You closed your eyes and forced the thoughts of the imminent future away. You fell into a cold, dreamless sleep.

(Upa's pov)

I opened my eyes to the voice of Samon saying that it was almost breakfast time. The events of last night briefly passed through my mind. After thinking about if while getting ready, I realized that it must have been a dream. In Nanba, no one got out and no one got in. There were also no females, excluding the warden and Noriko, so there couldn't have been anyone there last night. And if there was, when that person opened the door, alarms would have sounded and we would have been caught. I shrugged as I put on my hat, dismissing the thought. I looked over at (y/n)'s bed, expecting him to be gone as he trains in the morning, only to find him still there. I stopped moving as I observed him. His (y/h/l) (y/h/c) hair fell around his face messily and the blanket was pulled up half way. For the first time since our first encounter, his face was peaceful. I hadn't realized it before, but he always wore an anxious expression, contrary to the one he had now. He was quite pretty like this. "Whachya staring at Upa?" I spun around to face Qi, cursing the heat that rose to my face, "Nothing, trash." He rolled his eyes, "Suuuure. You should wake the kid up. It's almost time to go." He then laid back in his bed. "I thought you said it was almost time to go?" He dismissively waved his hand at me, "I said almost. Now shush." I sighed, "Lazy bastard." I decided to deal with him later as I walked to (y/n)'s bed. I shook his shoulder gently. He opened his eyes as I pulled my hand away. He looked around the room dazed for a second before looking at me. He raised a hand to rub his eyes, "What time is it?" "Almost time to eat." The skin around his eyes wrinkled a bit as he smiled from under the mask, "Thanks" I found myself smiling at him before walking away. Liang poked me in my side as I walked by him. I turned around and glared at him. He had a smug smirk on his face. "What?" He chuckled, "Was that a smile a saw?" "No." "Are you sure, it sure looked like one when you woke (y/n) up." I felt my face heat up as I crossed my arms, "I highly doubt that." He shrugged, still smirking, "Okay, whatever you say"
