Now that he wasn't focused on getting answers out of you, he noticed how well designed the place was. The place that he was standing was part of the Zen garden, a place for meditation. From where he was standing, he could see what he supposed was the training ground. It had a packed dirt floor. There was training equipment in an area farther away. He 'woah'ed as he walked farther into the place with you following shyly behind. He suddenly stopped and turned around to face you, a quizzical look on his face. "You practice Qigong, correct?" You nodded. "Show me something" At this, you immediately started to panic. "Nothing dangerous, just something." You calmed down a bit, "Like what?" He used his qigong to float, "You can do this, correct?" You felt your cheeks flush as using your abilities in front of people had always been slightly embarrassing. 'thank gosh for this mask' You knew how to do it, so you floated up to where he was. He smiled slightly and you felt a small smile tug at your mouth. You took a deep breath in as you produced an image using your Qi. It was a projection of Upa, standing on the ground. His eyes widened slightly as he floated back down to the ground to look at it. It looked exactly like him. He walked around it a few times before looking at you, an amazed look on his face, "How'd you learn to do this?" Memories of the training you were forced to endure flashed before your eyes and you suppressed the shiver that it brought on. "Lots of...practice." He thought for a moment, "Can you do a different one?" You nodded, the projection of Upa dissipating. You did one of Samon. Upa raised his hand to his chin in thought, "Can you make them move?" He asked curiously. You nodded again, concentrating for a second before the projection started to move. You made his tail move and he waved. You thought of something and made the image of Samon change slightly, giving him a monkey mask and making him go into a monkey pose. Upa laughed a bit, making you smile. You had always enjoyed making people happy. You made the image dissipate and projected a crumpled up piece of paper. Upa made a confused face, "What's that supposed to be?" You smirked from under the mask, "Qi." he laughed again, making you giggle. Suddenly, someone poked you in your sides from behind, making you squeak and spin around to see a smiling Samon. You crossed your arms and glared at him, "What are you doing here?" you said saltily. "Oh calm down" He said, placing a hand on top of your head, ruffling your hair. You swatted his hand away. "I just wanted to make sure that you guys were okay." You rolled your eyes, "We're fine, we just got here" Samon looked at the paper ball that was still being projected. You weren't paying attention that much, so it kind of flickered in and out of existence. "So I see that you're showing Upa some of your 'tricks'" he said with a smirk. Your face flushed immediately, "NOOOOO" He chuckled, "Oooooh~ it looks like someone has a cr-" "GET OOOUT" you said while pushing him in the direction of the door. He started leaning backwards onto your hands, "ooh nooo gravity is increasing." "NO IT'S NOT." "Is to." He said leaning more on your hands. You pushed him out with a grunt, him laughing the whole time. You slammed the door, 'hmph'ing as you crossed your arms. You looked over to Upa, who had a quizzical look on his face. "Does he do things like that often?" You chuckled, "Yeah, he teases me all the time." He 'oh'ed before looking over to the zen area. "Can we go over there?" He said, pointing to it. You nodded as you walked there with him. You decided to take off your mask since there was no point in keeping it on. Upa chose a spot to meditate and began, floating slightly off of the ground with his eyes lightly closed. You chose a spot near him and began to meditate as you have done so many times before. You didn't know how much time had passed when you felt Samon's presence enter the area. You opened one of your eyes slightly to see him looking around for the two of you. You raised your hand and waved him over, levitating back to the ground. You nudged Upa, getting his attention. He noticed Samon and went back to the ground. "Come on guys, time to head back." He said when he got to you. You shrugged and began walking behind Samon, Upa following suit. Once you made it back to the cell, you fell onto your bed, your arm falling over your eyes. Upa took a seat on his bed (it's right across from yours-just a reminder) Liang was, once again, training in the corner of the cell while Qi was taking a nap with a book over his face. After a bit, you heard your name being called by Upa. You lifted your arm away from your eyes to look at him. (WARNING THIS IS A SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SEIRES. Okay I just wanted to make sure that you remember how Enki could sense another person's qi. That's what he's going to be talking about. Okie back to the story) "Why couldn't I feel your presence earlier?" "hmm?" "While we were meditating, I couldn't feel you qi" You thought for a second before remembering something, "It's something called masking" He cocked his head to the side, "Masking?" You nodded, "It's a technique that I've learned. By putting out the same amount of qi that you use back into the place around you, it kind of cancels itself out, resulting in your presence being concealed." (I couldn't really think of a good way to explain this. Think about how if you subtract 2 from 12 and get 10, then if you added 2 back, you would still get 12 and you couldn't tell that you subtracted anything in the first place. Idk. Just bear with me I guess) "How do you do it?" he said, eager to learn something new. You thought for a moment before shrugging, "I don't know how to explain it. It's like trying to explain how to whistle." "Well how'd you learn how to do it?" "I just kind of did it one day by accident." Your conversation was cut short by Samon knocking on the door, "Number 69 from building 13 requested you guys." Liang stops his training to look at Samon, "But we haven't eaten lunch yet." "That's why he wanted you over there." You must have had a weird look on your face, because Upa started explaining who number 69 was and how he knew Cell 8. You hadn't watched the New Year's tournament due to (something pertaining to a show you like). "Samon, am I going?" he shrugged, "I guess. I mean, he did request Cell 8. And you are part of Cell 8." You gave a small 'okay'. You, along with the rest of the cell, made your way out of the door. As you walked out, you saw Samon smirk before grabbing your face with both hands and squishing your face. You 'HEY'ed at him before slapping his hand away. He laughed, "You're the one who isn't wearing your mask." You gasped as you realized that you were, in fact, not wearing your mask. You went to go back into the cell only to find that it was shut. You had left your key inside so you waited for Samon to open it. "There's no point, you'll be eating so you won't be able to wear it." You pouted, though you knew he was right. You agreed to go without the mask saltily. Cell 8, escorted by Samon, started their trip to building 13's lunchroom.
