A few weeks later the alarm rang too early, startling the sleeping male who was not used to being woken up to the sound of music. He rubbed his eyes as he got up and started getting himself ready. To any other person, today would be either an exciting or a nerve-wracking day, but to this young man, it was nothing new.He put on his new uniform before looking at himself in the mirror noticing how the navy blue color complimented his skin tone while his old brown uniform didn't. He grabbed his bag, slinging it over his shoulder before rushing out of his room, bowing his head to whoever was wishing him a good day. He was aware that he could easily have someone drive him to school, but he needed this time to himself.
While others dreaded their commute to school, this young man found it to be his only chance to be out of the suffocating walls of his room. He could think clearly and looks around to see people dressed like him, and heading to the same destination. He didn't need much, he just wanted to feel like he belonged to a group, no matter how trivial the thing connecting them was.
The walk did not take as long as he hoped it would, and soon he was faced with the big gate of a new school, once again. It was a matter of minutes before he found the teachers' lounge, knowing that his father's secretary probably called in to let them know that he was going to join them today.
The whispers were there already, but once again, this wasn't anything new. Every school he had been to filled up with whispers and gossip as soon as he set his first step into the building, but they don't last long. A week maximum, before they get used to seeing him walking amongst them.
The sound of the classroom's door opening was followed by the sounds of footsteps and the sound of chairs scraping against the floor. "Good morning everyone, we have a new student joining us today, come in and introduce yourself" The teacher encouraged with a smile. He walked in and stood in front of the class, saying the introduction that he had repeated a handful of times in the last year and a half.
"Hello. My name is Kim Taehyung, it's nice to meet you all. I hope we get along well" He said with a small smile before scanning the class, to see his classmates' reactions and expressions, but all of that was forgotten when his eyes landed on a familiar face that made him wonder if he was actually here or if he was having one of those vivid dreams.
The dull pain in his ankle as he walked to the empty desk placed at the very end of the class made him realize that he was indeed awake. But was the person he was seeing real? Or was it his brain just playing tricks on him? Did he get hit so hard on the head yesterday that he started seeing things?
Those thoughts plagued Taehyung's mind until the lunch bell rang, making most of the student calmly rush out of the door so they won't be caught in a long line to get their lunch. Taehyung wasn't hungry, nor was he hungry.
He didn't think he'd have company and just rested his head on the table as he massaged his leg. Three soft knocks on his tables managed to startled him, and when he looked up he saw the familiar face staring down at him. "Here" The tall male spoke, and only then did Taehyung realize that he was handing him a juice box.
"Thank you, Cu-" Taehyung said, taking the juice out of his hand. He wanted to call him Cutlet, but he wasn't sure if the other was the person he saw in his dreams or if it was just someone that looked like him but wasn't him.
"I'm Jungkook, what's your name Earrings?" Cutlet, well, Jungkook asked as he walked back to his desk, sipping his juice before taking a few books out of his bag. The CSAT was done a few weeks ago, but Jungkook could not afford to slack off no matter what. Although his study hours have decreased slightly, he had an hour to spare at the very end of the day to do what he wants.
