Though The Fear Keeps Me Moving, Still My Heart Beats So Slow

"So what you're saying is that there is a group chat, with everyone, and you're in it but you didn't add me?!" Seokjin spoke into the phone while he walked through the rundown alleys towards the old lady's restaurant.

"Yea, I didn't know if you wanted to be in the group so I thought to ask you first," Namjoon said as he speed-walked towards the carwash. He had been in the chat for two days, and he was pretty sure that it was not any kind of a prank or a scam.

"Oh, are you sure they're real though? Have you met them? Or seen them?" Seokjin asked before mumbling a complaint about how hot the weather was.

"I've seen their display photos, but I've only met Taehyung," he said, pressing his phone against his ear with his shoulder as he fished out his employee card to let himself into the changing room.

"I'd like to meet them all, just to make sure, can you arrange that please?" Seokjin asked, waving at the old lady with a bright smile. "I have to go now, let me know if anything happens. Bye!" He said before hanging up, leaving Namjoon to sigh and whine a little to himself about adding one more thing to do today.

Once he was dressed and ready to wash the long line of cars waiting for him, he sent a quick text to the group, asking them if they could meet up somewhere, and then tossed his phone into his designated, worn-out locker.

Trying to set up the meeting on a day that would suit all of them was proven to be almost impossible since the day Namjoon had some time to spare it would be during the day when Jungkook and Taehyung would be at school. Namjoon managed to sort out his work schedule to be done with his shifts early enough to meet everyone.

Yoongi tried to contact Hoseok, but it was like he dropped off the face of the earth. His phone was switched off, and he couldn't even find him at the club. Eventually, they all gave up on finding Hoseok and planned everything without him.

The time and place were sent to Seokjin who complained a little bit about it being at a stranger's house. "Hyung, you're a stranger to him, he should be the one complaining. Bring an axe with you if you're that worried" Namjoon joked, not knowing that Seokjin would show up with a wooden mallet in one hand and his phone in the other hand, ready to dial 911 to get the police to rescue him at any given moment.

"You must be kidding me. Dude, what the fuck?" Yoongi chuckled when he saw Seokjin standing there with the wooden weapon in his hand. "That won't do shit, if you want I can lend you a knife, at least you'll be able to hurt someone if we somehow decide to attack" He joked as he made his way to the kitchen, just to bring Seokjin a drink.

The gathering was pretty awkward for Namjoon and Seokjin at first but they warmed up to each other after accepting the fact that they were all the same people they knew, and that the comfort they've shared was still there. That fact was proved when they saw how close Yoongi and Jungkook were. They had a bond between them similar to a bond between siblings. The sharp sarcasm Yoongi used to talk to everyone would melt away when he'd talk to Jungkook.

"So we're missing two?" Seokjin asked, looking at the UNO cards he was given and trying to hide a smirk at the sight of a draw four card.

"Actually, no. We know Dance exists, he just doesn't have a phone so he calls us every once in a while from a landline" Jungkook said, explaining Jimin's situation, or at least the bits he knew about as the game advanced.

"And I met Phone at a club the other day, I added him to the group, but I haven't heard from him since then. I tried to call but his phone is off" Yoongi said, dropping a draw 2 cards, making Namjoon sigh and draw two cards from the pile.

Taehyung placed a card down "UNO!" He said with a smile, holding his last card. It was the first word he said after introducing himself to Seokjin. It wasn't that he didn't feel comfortable, he just did not feel like talking in fear of saying the wrong thing. Seeing the others interact was entertaining enough for him, so he sat there watching everything unfold in front of him without participating.
