"He's with the hermits?" The figure scolded a cloaked figure.
"I'm sorry, it was an accident, I thought it was a ne-" a slap echoed through the corridor, nearly knocking over the poor cloaked male.
"Get him out of there. Fast. We want him defenceless!" It hissed, pushing the smaller one and walking off angrily.
As soon as they were both out of ear shot, the small cloaked figure slid his poncho off and looked into a mirror.
Tired, heavy white eyes looking into eachother. A deep red hand mark on his face, under his scales and his hair damp and heavy. He was a mess. He couldn't do this.
He pulled out his phone and called the only other person he knew who hadn't run from him, the only person who would help him out of this situation. "Hello? ______ speaking."
"I need help.." He choked, the person on the other side very saddened and surprised. "I can't do this a-anymore."
"I'm always her-"
He shook himself back to reality. He had a mission. He couldn't do what he wanted. There was too much on the line.
He cleaned his eyes and threw his cloak back on, rushing back down the dark and stuffy hallway.

It had been a few days since Grian joined. Everyone was happy and everything seemed completely fine. He was fortunate to meet all the hermits at some point during that week and had made some friendships already.
Currently, everyone was chilling in the bar/café combo. Weird mix, but a really nice atmosphere to Grian. Everyone was either drinking coffee or alcohol and talking or singing karaoke.
Grian was talking to Mumbo as Iskall was scream the lyrics to who knows what with Stress, you could tell everyone was either drunk or hyperactive. Grian took another sip of his watermelon alcohol and asked "do you do this every week?"
"Not really, we do have a meetup as often as we can, though." Mumbo smiled and looked to everyone, "last season everyone was kinda lonely because of how far our bases were."
"Oh," Grian gave a small, awkward laugh, "so everyone basically lives in the middle of the world?"
"Yep." Mumbo drank some of his coffee, and pointed to Xisuma "We have him to thank for continuing it."
"He didn't create it? Isn't he the admin though?"
"His friend started the server, I'm not sure what happened to him, to be honest." Mumbo leaned back in his chair, deep in thought. "I didn't get here until the second world I think."
"Oh." Iskall sat next to the two, giggling about something they didn't understand. "You must've enjoyed that."
Mumbo scoff-laughed as Iskall spoke in slurs "nothing beats singing about ice to-"
A hooded figure slammed the door open, scanning the room of alarmed hermits and locking on Xisuma and Grian. He took out shiny leads and threw one towards Xisuma, the other to Grian. They yelped and tried to get away as it wrapped around their arms, pulling them to the ground.
"I need you to follow me, if you please." The figure said, his voice a monotone with a depressing echo. "Don't worry about them, they'll be back soon... Maybe."
The three disappeared, leaving the rest of the hermits scared, confused, and questioning where they went.
Xisuma and Grian look across the bars to the two figure in front of them, "I have them.."
"Grian, and who's this?" The human tugged his jacket down, looking to his hooded 'friend'.
"My brother." The figure looked away, the human with headphones pulled the hooded ones face to look towards his.
"You did well." It complimented, pecking the others forehead. "Now, take your brethren away and hurry back."
"Yes sir." He entered the cell Grian and Xisuma were in, pulling Xisuma put and leading him elsewhere.
"EX? Is that you?" Xisuma asked once EX closed the door.
EX didn't do anything, walking and signaling for Xisuma to follow him. "Don't ignore me, I know you've been missing! What's happened? Who's that guy back there?"
"It's fine." He hissed, turning a corner and opening a door. He pulled Xisuma in.
"Evy it doesn't seem fine." Xisuma exclaims, pulling EX's hood down and holding his brothers face with one hand. "Gods, you look terrible."
"I can deal with it another day." EX frowned, pulling his hand up to Xisuma's while still keeping the rest of him under the cloak, "don't make this harder than it is."
"EX, I know you need my help, I can't do anything if you don-"
"I'm fine!" EX pushed Xisuma away, tears in his eyes.
"EX this isn't fine if you reply like this!"
EX falls to the floor, gripping his beaten leggings as his cheeks stained once more.

"Grian." He called to Grian as the small man backed away. "You're still the same, I see."
"Nonono-" Grian pushes himself against the voids wall, "not here, not now, not ever."
"I missed you," he opens the cell, sitting on Grians legs and pinning him to the wall.
"I want you away from me." Grian hissed and spat in Sam's face.
"But those moments will-"
The door opens as the cloaked figure stood walked in, "I have removed my bro-"
Sam looked to the cloaked man, "S-Sam? What is th-this?"
"He tried getting out, do-"
"I haven't done anything." Grian looks at the hurt expression under the others cloak. "He's a liar!"
"I-" EX walked to Sam and yanked him away from Grian. Xisuma was at the entrance, watching EX and Sam closely. "I trusted you."
Xisuma pushed EX away as Sam tried to slap him, punching Sam in the gut and pushing EX to Grian. As Sam doubled over, Xisuma grabbed Grian and his brothers hands and rush out of the room. "Evy, lead us out. The communicator doesn't work here."
EX nodded and walked through many turns, a guilty and sad expression on his face. "Grian, right? How did you know Sam?"
"We went to the same highschool.." Grian sighed, "you?"
"I was in my void house as usual and he knocks on the door. You can guess how that went."
Xisuma pat EX's shoulder and frowned. "Is that why I didn't see you for weeks?"
EX nodded and stopped walking, opening a chest to the side and pulling out a very broken piece of flint n steel. "I'll turn the portal off once you two go through, we don't want him following us."
"We'll see you in the server, right?"
"I'll arrive a few minutes after you. Don't worry." Xisuma looked to Grian, and back to his brother and nodded.
The two walked through the portal, leaving EX alone as the flint n steel broke and he removed blocks from the portal permanently. "You didn't."
EX turned around after he destroyed the last block, "that was HOURS of our work!"
EX looked at him with hatred, "you mean MY work. I did EVERY SECOND of it, slaved for HOURS every day. It isn't at all for a piece of shit like you."
"Who was there to support you? Care for you?"
"Nobody. Goodbye, Sam. Suffer alone in this hellish nightmare." EX tapped 'hermitcraft' on the server menu, zipping out of there and leaving Sam.
Once he connected to the server, he was tackled by Xisuma, "you're never allowed to leave my side ever again."
EX hugged back, and sighed with a small laugh, "I guess that ok."
