Chapter 19: Audition

"Dear Diary,

Auditions for the studio begin today and I am so nervous. Leon and my friends keep telling me that I'll be fine but I can't help but feel anxious. My dad has finally given me permission to audition with the help of Angie of course. I just hope I get in"

"Are you ready?" Angie asks. I close my diary and stare at her anxiously before nodding.

"Then let's go" she says.

"Vilu!" Leon shouts, he was with Camila, Diego, Francesca and Maxi outside of the Studio. I wave Angie goodbye and make my way over to them. Leon instantly hugs me.

"Are you nervous?" Maxi asks.

"Yeah" I nod.

"Don't be, you'll be fine" Francesca says reassuringly. After a few minutes of conversation we walk inside and wait in the halls of the studio for my name to be called. I start to pace back and forward resisting the urge to bite my nails.

"Calm down, Vilu" Diego says noticing that I was about 5 minutes away from having a panic attack.

"Violetta Castillo?" A voice shouts from one of the rooms. I start to shake uncontrollably.

"I can't do this, Leon" I say as I bury my head into his chest. He wraps his arm around me.

"Yes you can" he says, "I'll be watching from the door"

"I'm so nervous" I say quietly.

"Come on" he smiles as he holds out his hand for me. I take a deep breath and take his hand. He guides me into the room.

"You can do this" he whispers in my ear. I smile and enter the room. I walk onto the stage and stand in front of the microphone. I see Angie, her friend Pablo and another man I didn't recognize. Seeing Angie made me feel more calm. I look over at Leon for a moment and then begin to sing.

"That was amazing" Leon says as I leave the room. Diego, Fran, Cami and Maxi all hug me.

"You're definitly gonna get in!" Camila says.

"Of course she is," A familiar yet annoying voice says, "her aunt is one of the judges" I look to my left and notice that it's Ludmila.

"Just shut up, Ludmila" Leon says. Ludmila rolls her eyes and walks away.

"Don't let her ruin your moment" Francesca smiles.
