Chapter 5: First Date

"Hello? Is this Leon?" I ask. I dialed the number Leon gave me a few days ago. My dad grounded me for secretly having a boy in my room without him being aware.

"Oh my god, I thought your dad murdered you!" Leon says, you can literally hear joy in his voice.

"No, Luckily he didn't". I laugh.

"So are you calling about our date?" Leon asks.

"Yeah"

"I was thinking we should have dinner and go see a movie." Leon says.

I blush. I can't believe I'm actually going on a date with Leon.

"Where will be having dinner?" I ask.

"The most luxurious restaurant....KFC" he says. "I made reservations for 2"

I laugh.

"Just kidding, we're going to the most fanciest one in town I could find" He says.

"Really?!" I gasp.

"Of course. I'll pick you up at 7"

At exactly 7 O' Clock Leon knocked on my door. I open the door and see Leon standing there with flowers in his hands. I can't believe he got me flowers. I instantly blush.

"Hey" I say.

"Hey, these are for Olga" Leon says.

"What?"

"Just kidding, they're for you" He smiles as he gives me the flowers.

"They're beautiful" I say.

"So are you"

He just called me beautiful.

"So should we go now?" He asks.

"Yeah". I walk out my front door and see Leon's car parked outside.

"Nice car" I say as we walk over to it.

"Thanks" he says, opening the passenger seat door for me.

When we finally arrived at the restaurant, Leon pulled out my seat for me. He's such a gentleman.

A waiter arrives and gives us our menus.

"Wow" I say as I stare at the menu, the prices were so high.

"By the way, I'll be paying for everything tonight" Leon says.

"No, I can't let you do that!" I say.

"It's fine, Violetta. Really"

Once we order it takes around 12 minutes for the waiter to bring us our food.

"This food is delicious" Leon says with his mouth full.

I laugh. He is so adorable and funny.

"I'm sorry I got you into trouble"

"Leon, you don't need to apologize, it was my fault." I reassure him. 

We talk the whole night. Leon was telling me about how great the studio was and how he thinks I should join, but I would have to wait till September to audition.

"Oh no" He says, staring at his watch.

"What?" I ask curiously.

"We missed the movie!"

"It's okay" I say. "It probably wasn't that good anyway"

Leon pays for the food and we leave the restaurant. Instead of getting into his car we decide to go for a walk.

"I had a great time tonight" I say as we hold hands.

"I did too" Leon says.

In this moment I feel so happy and lucky. I really like Leon.

"Hey wanna try the thing from the Notebook?" He asks, his eyes glowing.

"What thing?" I ask.

"The thing where they stupidly lie on the road"

"We could get hit by a car" I laugh

"Yeah but if a car comes we'll be able to see it from afar so we'll get out of the way just in time and when we're old we'll look back at these moments and remember that we were reckless" Leon says dramatically.

He's so cheesy.

We both lie down in the middle of the road and wait to be almost killed. I must say, Leon has the weirdest ideas.

"So are you gonna join the studio?" Leon asks.

"Maybe, I don't think I would get in though" I say.

"Of course you would" Leon replies.

"Leon, Can I ask you something?" 

"Sure"

"Why did you date that girl, Ludmila?. She seems like a bitch" I say.

"She wanted to go out with me and I guess I wanted a girlfriend so it just sort of happened. I hoped she would become kinder but she's just so mean. So I got fed up and broke up with her" He says.

"Oh."

"IT'S BEEN MORE THAN 20 MINUTES AND A CAR STLL HASN'T COME" Leon shouts with light frustration.

"I see that as a good thing" I laugh.

"It's starting to rain, we should get up and go back to my car" Leon says, starting to stand up.

The rain gets heavier and heavier as we walk back to Leon's car.

"The rain is so loud" I say, my hair and clothes are soaked from the rain.

"What?" Leon says, he can't hear me.

"THE RAIN IS SO LOUD" I shout.

Leon stops walking and stares at me.

"What is it?" I ask.

Leon takes a step closer to me.  He leans in and presses his lips against mine. He places his hands on my waist and I put by arms around is neck. Suddenly a car drives on a puddle next to us causing the puddle to splash all over us.

We both laugh.

"Seriously?!" We both say at the same time.

When we arrive back at my house, Leon walks me to the door.

"So, I guess you're my girlfriend now" He smirks.

I try to say something but all I can do is blush.

He places a hand on my cheek and we kiss again. 

"I'll see you tomorrow" He says, after pulling away.

"Yeah, thanks for the great night, Leon"

He smiles at me and gets into his car. I watch as he drives away.
