Something was off about Whizzer. Marvin was really good at noticing patterns in people's behavior depending on their emotions, and Whizzer was acting very different from any of the mental notes Marvin had been making. For instance, Whizzer gets snappy when he's insecure. Whizzer usually walks around the house moving random stuff when he's stressed. Whizzer blushes a lot when he's happy, likes to cuddle when he's tired, and screams a lot when he's hungry.

But, Whizzer wasn't doing any of these things. He wouldn't beg for cuddles, or sneak quick kisses onto Marvin at any time possible. He wouldn't make snarky comments, or laugh at Marvin for doing dumb stuff. He wouldn't talk unless spoken to. He just sat there, staring at nothing in particular.

Marvin was worried, to say the least. Whizzer wasn't Whizzer anymore. Something had to be wrong, he knew it. One morning, after almost two full weeks of Whizzer acting incredibly strange, Marvin came downstairs to see Whizzer sitting on the couch and sobbing, curled up into a ball. The only time Marvin had ever seen Whizzer cry was when he'd found out that his mother died, and it was only for a couple of minutes.

"Whizzer?" Whizzer jumped, rubbing his eyes and snapping his head up.

"WHAT?" He screamed, only to start sobbing harder. "I'm sorry." Marvin quickly sat next to him.

"What's wrong, baby? Whizzer shook his head, rubbing his eyes and desperately trying to keep his sobs back, resulting in a red face.

"It's nothing. It's nothing, I'm- I'm fine."

"No, you're not. You've been acting different for a while, Whizzer. I'm worried."

"There's nothing to be worried about!" Whizzer snapped, but his face quickly softened and he mumbled a small apology. Marvin slowly wrapped his arms around Whizzer, who tensed up, but slowly relaxed into the hug, burying his face into Marvin's chest, letting out small sobs. Marvin slowly rubbed his back.

"Whizzer, love, tell me what's wrong." Marvin says, softly.

"I can't," Whizzer mumbles.

"Why?"

"It's stupid. I don't want to add onto your problems or whatever, just-" He pauses, looking up at Marvin. "I'm scared. I'm really, really scared. I love you, I love you a lot, and I've never been in love. I've never done this, this whatever before, and I'm scared, because falling in love means eventually falling out of love. I don't want to fall out of love, Marvin. And what happens when we do? What will happen if you fall out of love with me before I fall out of love with you? What if I fall out of love with you first and then I have to break your heart? What if something happens and one of us dies? If you die, I don't know what the hell I'd do. I wouldn't want to move on. And if I died, I wouldn't want you to move on, but I wouldn't want you to sit around and dwell on it. I don't ever want to move on, I just...I want to sit here with you. Forever." Whizzer slowly uncurls himself, frowning.

"That's what's been bothering you?" Marvin asks , and Whizzer nods, leaning down and slowly bringing Marvin into a kiss. Marvin pulls away, but their faces are only inches apart. "Let's just focus on right now, okay?" He whispers, and Whizzer nods, wrapping his arms around Marvin's neck.
