Whizzer flopped stomach first onto his bed, throwing off his jacket and groaning into his pillow. After a long, long day full of classes, all he wanted to do was sleep. Sleep seemed like the best thing in the world to him at the moment. He turned onto his side, grabbing the covers from the end of his bed and pulling them over him so that they went up to his neck. It was the beginning of October, and also the beginning of his freshman year of college. As much as he'd hate to admit it, college was completely draining him. He'd thought that it would be easier, more laid back at the most, but he was completely wrong. He survived only on red bulls and ramen, and sometimes coffee, if he were lucky enough that Marvin would go and buy some once in a while.
He shut his eyes, exhaling in relief. He had loads of work to do, and their small dorm room really needed some tidying up, but he really wasn't concerned with that at the time being. All he really wanted was sleep. Unfortunately for Whizzer, though, the moment he'd begun to drift off, the door opened. He jumped, sitting up, only to find Marvin setting his bag down next to the (now shut) door.
"Holy fucking hell, Marv, you scared the crap out of me." He said, running his hands through his hair. Marvin just shrugged, hopping onto the bed that was sat next to Whizzer's. "Seriously, knock next time, will ya? I could've been fucking myself or something."
"You're kidding."
"For now, I am." Whizzer huffed, and Marvin laughed. Whizzer shook his head, falling back onto his side and hugging his pillow.
"Are you seriously trying to sleep right now? It's four in the afternoon on a Friday." Whizzer felt his cheeks burn, and he inwardly groaned.
"You're on something if you aren't tired right now."
"Lots of caffeine, Whiz. Lots of it." Marvin said, and Whizzer laughed, turning around to him. "Your hair's a mess."
"I'm in bed, Marvin! Like your hair is perfect when you wake up?" Marvin shrugged.
"Yeah, but at least you're cute when your hair's a mess." Whizzer frowned, color rising to his cheeks.
"You're a bitch, you know that?" Whizzer scoffed. Marvin laughed, shaking his head.
"I'm your bitch, though." Whizzer snorted.
"You wish."
"Yeah. I do."
"You little fucker. C'mere." Whizzer says, moving over and patting the spot next to him. Marvin smiled, getting up and kicking off his shoes. He climbed into the bed with Whizzer, who grinned, wrapping his arms around the boy.
"I love you, you know." Marvin said, smiling. Whizzer frowned.
"Do you? Really?" He asked, and Marvin nodded. "Then why aren't you mine?"
"What do you mean?" Marvin asked.
"Well, we obviously have feelings for each other. Look at us, for God's sake, we're gay as hell. But I don't want to be a 'no homo but I love you' kind of thing. I want to be your boyfriend." Marvin paused, staring into Whizzer's eyes. Whizzer wanted to gag. He'd meant every word he'd said, but still, he'd never been in a position like this. He'd never had to ask anybody out, because they all fell to his disposal the moment they laid eyes on him.
Marvin, on the other hand, had never been asked out. Not by a guy, at least. He'd dated one girl in high school. Trina was sweet, and beautiful at the least. He loved her, he really did, but it wasn't the kind of love he felt for Whizzer. His love for Trina was more of a best friend kind of love. When he was with Whizzer, though, he felt that and more. Unlike Trina, Whizzer would make his face burn with every word he spoke. All he could think about, from staring into space every day, to laying restless at night, was Whizzer.
He gulped, looking up at Whizzer.
"Yeah. I'll be your boyfriend." He said quietly. Whizzer grinned so wide that his cheeks hurt. He laughed, leaning forward and bringing Marvin into a sweet kiss. They'd kissed before, sure, but this felt... different. Kissing Whizzer had always been a wonderful experience for Marvin, but this kiss was raw. It felt more than real, and he loved every second of it.
"This is so cliche." Whizzer laughed.
"What?" Marvin asked, and Whizzer shrugged.
"I dunno. This whole thing just feels... Cheesy. I'm good with it though."
"Yeah, me too." Marvin said, smiling, and Whizzer nodded, leaning into Marvin and shutting his eyes.
"I'm going back to sleep now." He said, and Marvin hummed, wrapping an arm around him and rubbing his back.
It was the best sleep Whizzer had in a long, long time.
